After one run in women’s doubles (luge), we have a clear favourite for gold. Surprise surprise …not , it’s Italy.  Alexandra Overstolz/Katharine Koefler with a huge lead of almost half a second over the rest of the field (47.975).  Marie Riedl/Nina Lerch are currently in second (48.535), with their sisters Lina Riedl/Anna Lerch currently in third (48.687). A bit further back in 4th, but not completely out of reach of the medals, are Sarah Pflaume/Lara Peterseim (48.802)

 in the lead at the halfway mark of the single mixed relay. Reasonably solid shooting from  so far...

 leading by over a minute heading into the final leg. Very close between 2-5 though.

 Peter Groeseclose through to the quarterfinals in men’s 1500m (short track speed skating), also managing to win his heat!
