men's Team Epee: :VEN Venezuela
women's Team Foil: :CAN Canada
men's Team Foil: :USA United States
women's Team Sabre: :USA United States
men's Team Sabre: :USA United States

big loss for the German team...basically, a nail on their coffin (not that they were real contenders, but still)...

Damn, there goes one of the teams for the European quota. I guess the Hungarian girls now have a slightly better chance to qualify.

:ITA Arianna Errigo is going to give birth to a couple of twins next March, she announced on her social media.

she won the individual silver and the team gold medal at the 2022 world champs when she was already pregnant :yikes:

she also said that she already got pregnant just after Tokyo 2020, but she lost the baby after 3 (very difficult) months, causing her a lot of mental troubles.

coming back to the gym and practicing the sport she loves was the only reason she could recover from that tragedy and look ahead.

    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.
