I truly can not fathom how insanely good of an athlete Nicola Spirig is. Being good enough in both swimming and cycling to be in the triathlon top level, but also being so incredibly versatile that you can both run 800m in 2:18 minutes (not bad in the heptathlon) but also a marathon in 2:37 hours.

I don't know. But I guess he was really determined here after not leading at two events in a row.

Varga pretty well running in a real medal race, but somehow badly moved and rolled his ankle in the 1st running lap - so from current 4th to DNF
