Modern's pentathlon Mixed and Women's Relay are confirmed by the Mexican federation to be "rescued" and back in the Games program.

Also, Marca Claro has already announcedin its FB page it will broadcast the Games. Let's hope they show most of the events.

Well I’m glad that some events were supposedly revived.

ESPN’s US coverage will be very extensive, showing all most 12-20 streams a day, their still missing a lot of sports, but the coverage is better than normal. Hopefully Claro’s coverage is similar or better. If it’s better would mind posting the link.

Official website says that their will be 5,424 athletes competing in the games . This is the new record for entries at any Central American and Caribbean Games (by 400). Mexico will have the most entries with 672 :yikes:! Sint Marten will have the smallest number of entries with 4.

Mexican Olympic Committee confirmed that 14 events managed to get enough participants to be on the program again.

Athletics (4): Men's Marathon, Men's 50km Race Walk,  Women's 10,000m, Women's 3,000m Steeplechase

Modern Pentathlon (2): Women's Relay & Mixed Relay

Rowing (1): Women's Pair

Taekwondo - Poomsae (1): Mixed Pairs

Weightlifting (6): Men's 77kg Snatch, Men's 77kg Clean & Jerk, Women's 90kg Snatch, Women's 90 Clean & Jerk, Women's +90kg Snatch & Women's +90kg Clean & Jerk.

I'm especially glad about Rowing, Pentathlon and Weightlifting; I couldn't care less about Poomsae, but what I will really miss is women's 20km,as our best athlete will miss the Games.

The official website posted an article that said that there was an effort by the ODECABE to save 22 of the cancelled events, but that support was only garnered for these 14.

Well I have no doubt that they tried as hard as they could; but this kind of problem has been common in the latest editions of the Games, mainly to sabotage each NOC main rival in the medal count. The only one that has not done so it's Mexico, because this is their only chance to showcase its talents in each sport and event.

    • With a week to go till the deadline for the world invitational, the rosters look beefy for the discus on both sides.24 entries for the men[19 accepted in so far] and 25 for the women[18 accepted so far] For the men so far there are three 70 meter throwers[i count Denny as that since it's just 4 centimeters off his pb]10 from mid 66 to low 69,three of 65 and over, four from almost 64 to almost 65.On the women's side the 18 accepted throwers all have a pb of over 60 meters.11 of them have  pbs over 64 plus.of the ones still not there besides Valerie and Yaime who have been marketed so i can only assume they will join, such names as  Sandra Elkasevic,Bin Feng, and jordine van klinken aren't signed up yet, jordine's probably the most likely of them to join in tough feng would be a cool surprise,i somehow don't see Sandra doing this, but it would be awesome if she did.Stahl and ceh aren't in yet on the men's side, ceh has been marketed while stahl hasn't been mentioned at all,[pretty sure stahl will not be there],Lukas[last name is too wild for me to even try] and lawrence okoye aren't there yet either but i'm betting both will be joining in.
    • What a shame. That would have been amazing.
    • It's complete American domination in the women's discus rankings so far this year, they occupy the top 4 slots, and the WORST result of those four was achieved at Ramona .Third place currently belongs to Ciera Jackson who had a huge almost 4 METER pr at the west coast relays on friday-64.42[previous best was 60.77 from march of 2023,and she opened her season a week ago with at that time her second best result ever of 60.14]she also had a 63.66 throw to back this new pb up,and finally with her new personal best she took down the school record that stood for 36 YEARS[Btw Valerie Allman actually competed in Ramona on march 30th but conditions were apparently far from ideal and she fouled four times and her best was a 63.61,i don't doubt that in the event that she competes in the  world intational, the conditions will be perfect,i wouldn't be so bold as to say she wouldl get the world record but for sure i think she could get a new personal best.
