A large and wealthy country, but its people are poor and frightened. Putin and a small elite are enriching themselves. Just like in 90% of African countries after colonialism, the president and his family steal all their wealth, while the rest live in poverty. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is also big, and so what if 99% of the people who live there are poor? -
