Known for his molecular food, the chef opted for a vegetarian dish to start the Menu. The green tomato gel entrée combine the flavours of leaves that are typically found at the Amazon forest with Peruvian toasted corn, bringing to the dish South American roots. To finish things off, sprouts and edible flowers.

Now that all guests have arrived, they've been invited to the beautiful Assyrian hall at the Theatre. There, they will enjoy a three-course brazilian meal, consisting of an entrée, the main course, and a dessert. Although influenced by African, European, and Amerindian styles, the Brazilian cuisine varies greatly by region, reflecting the country's mix of native and immigrant populations, and its continental size as well. Ingredients first used by native peoples in Brazil include açaí, guaraná, cumaru, cashew and tucupi. From there, the many waves of immigrants brought some of their typical dishes in the nation - contributing for the amazing mixture of flavors. D.O.M., a brazilian restaurant by chef Alex Atala, achieved its best position in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2012, placing 4th (1st in South America). Tonight, the chef will be responsible for the Menu. Let's start with the entrée!

Now that we've met all the teams, we'll announce the Rules for the upcoming Team Challenge, the first in TISC history! 1) Team scores will be determined by adding together scores of all team members. 2) Additionally, every team will get three turns of power-play. During the power-play turns, every point scored by Brazil will be assigned to the team that currently holds the power-play privilege. The power-play order was determined by a random draw and will be as follows: Votes 2-4: Team Natal Votes 5-7: Team Ouro Preto Votes 8-9, 11: Team Gramado Votes 12-14: Team Manaus Votes 15-17: Team Fernando de Noronha Votes 18-20: Team Salvador Votes 21-23: Team Foz de Iguaçu Votes 24-26: Team Cuiabá Votes 27-29: Team Brasília Votes 30-32: Team São Luís 3) After the initial power-play stage is completed, the teams will be ranked by their power-play points. During the final 10 votes (33-42), every team will get an additional power-play turn. Power-play order in this final stage will be the reverse order of power-play rankings of the initial stage (votes 2-32). For the purposes of Team Challenge, Brazilian points assigned to team scores will be doubled in this final reverse order stage. 4) Whichever team ends this contest with the most power-play points will get Brazil as the 5th team member. Brazil's final score will not be assigned to the team concerned, but the team will get an additional 50 points bonus instead!

Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro Located in Cinelândia at the Marechal Floriano square, the Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro it's considered to be one of the most beautiful and important theatres in the country. With a seating capacity of more than 2,000, it was built in the beginning of the twentieth century. The building is designed in an eclectic style inspired by Paris Opéra of Charles Garnier. The interior of the theater is as luxurious as the facade - with sculptures by Henrique Bernardelli and paintings by Rodolfo Amoedo and Eliseu Visconti, also responsible for its majestic drop curtain, the frieze on the proscenium, the nave ceiling and the decorations of the foyer ceiling. A restaurant located in the basement brings a very peculiar style thanks to its impressive Assyrian decor - where is clear the reference to the Xerxes Palace in Persepolis. It was here that the first masquerade balls of Rio were hosted.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! The Organizing Committee for the Totallympics International Song Contest 2018 is honoured to host the Jubilee Gala Event in celebration of the 10 editions of our music contests. We're delighted you've been able to join us for tonight's Gala, the first of many events that Brazil is hosting this weekend. But, before the start of this evening's proceedings, let's find out details of the venue that is hosting this landmark event!

As preparations are a little behind right now, the organizing committee has to move up the starting time of both the TISC Jubilee Gala Event (to happen this Thursday) and the Opening Ceremony (Friday) a little bit from 15h00 local time to 17h00. As the events are happening in Brazil, it only makes sense that the ceremonies are at least partially held in the evening. We thank you all for the patience and hope for a great weekend of music celebration!
