  1. wow. well, that is already something. here we will have some water polo (Highlights of a match or at best shortened replay) when the Tokyo M tournament Gold medal match will be played... so to say about the medialization of this sport here... the fact is that beside the group of die hard fans and Olympics fans no one even know about this tournament for example, which is trully sad. Obviously the difference of level, depth quality and popularity of this sport in general between HUN, ITA, NED and even GRE to the rest of participants is so extremely big that any game not finishing by a blowout may be considered as good result for you or us for example
  2. with a highly ambitious and bold but not very realistic goal of scoring as many goals as possible and not ending dead last, our young girls (yeah, the youngest team of the tourney) travelled to the tournament. All tests after arrival were negative, so everything is OK, they can start counting the dutch goals tonight (Joke aside, just qualifying to this final QT is by far the biggest success of Slovak womens water polo ever, a fullfiled dream for the girls and boost for their further career, So have fun and enjoy the games, babes. Slovensko do toho !)
  3. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) will compensate Belarus for the removal of hosting the World Championship 2021. (well, I sincerely hope it is not build for some hidden obscure referees help at the Olympic quallification tournament to somehow put BLR to Beijing)... This was said by Petr Bříza, the former czech great goalie and current member of the IIHF Council for sport.cz. According to him, the federation will also reimburse the substitute venue for all the costs of the championship. The replacing host country is not yet known. Denmark and Bratislava are 2 of the 3 official possibilities, but the 3rd possibility is that they will play the whole championship in Riga, Latvia, which was the original co-host with Belarus. However, due to the pandemic, the championship will most likely be without spectators. This is one of the reasons why, according to Bříza, the IIHF will reimburse all costs for its organization: Therefore, the IIHF came to the conclusion that it had to pay the costs. IIHF Secretary General Horst Lichtner will now work very intensively on three realistic funding options. "

  6. The World Hockey Championships in 2021 will definitely not take place in Belarus, the IIHF Council decided it at its meeting today
  7. Sofia Velikaya among others propose "Katyusha" to be played instead of Olympic Anthem for athletes gold medals in Tokyo https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1103107/oleg-matytsin-tokyo-2020-russia-anthem Maybe they should try this but I am more for the new one
