  5. Updated as of April 24th, 2021
  6. As far as I know, top 8 relays in every relay from 2019 WCHs are already qualified, and next 8 will qualify through world ranking by combined times for example is 5th under the line in Mixed 4x400 and it is the only reason we are going to participate, even if the chances are very low to qualify, we´ll at least try https://totallympics.com/topic/5397-athletics-2021-discussion-thread/?do=findComment&comment=363333
  7. Road to Riga Exhibition Games April 23rd, 2021 (27 Days to Go)- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Russia 6 - 3 Belarus (0-0, 6-1, 0-2)
  8. Pretty disappointing early exit from Balážová, however she will very likely qualify through Ranking in both singles and mixed, so not a real disaster. It is a bit worse for Pištej, his only chance to play in Tokyo also in the singles is only by qualifying from OQT, he still have the repechage round here, but I do not see it very realistic, I do fear he will be in Tokyo only for the mixed doubles with Barbora, both are still first non-qualified pair, so baring total completely unforeseen circumstances they should be already in (waiting for ITTU confirmation ofc)
  9. Man our wrestlers are really making the headlines in our medias lately. This total madness came really like out of nowhere Today they had even a Press Conference at the sports headquarters of the Ministry of Defense after returning from Warsaw. Yes, correct, all 3 are members of Army, which they became automatically being members of the military club Dukla Banská Bystrica ! I did not know that Obviously I knew they all 3 speak fluent Slovak (which they demonstrated yesterday in our TV news from 04:45 and today in that press conference as well) and all, but the information about being members of our army forces is a bit shocker for me. @MHSN Some informations from the coach: As expected Salkazanov -74 and Makoev -86 will be our only athletes in Sofia, Both dreaming about the Olympics. Tajmuraz claiming this will be his most important competition of his career so far... We are naturalizing another russian, a certain Batyrbek Tsakulov, Russian authorities already allowed his transfer to Slovakia, he wrestle in -92kg, apparently still a U23 wrestler. If you are interested (I know, you are as a real wrestling guru ) here the article in slovak https://sport.aktuality.sk/c/494530/zapasenie-slovenski-majstri-myslia-na-tokio-salkazanov-kvalifikacia-bude-pre-mna-najdolezitejsia-sutaz/
  10. I'm probably from an older school, but I prefer the more classic normal dress
  11. Well, it's not even fair to compare both sports popularity here.
  12. Absolutely no clue I guess the usual prospects, and by Rio 2016 results in W & in M but hard to vote here for me, I do not know the real strength and form of all mentioned teams.
  13. No. Seriously without Totallympics I would never know there gymnastic competition going on. I believe apart our athlete her coach, some guys in the federation & me no one else know and now about the topic, what you meant by long pants ?
  14. and a week later, Richard scored his first one for Detroit. But a really funny one BUT the star of the match was Jakub Vrána scoring 4 !
  15. Slovakia expelled 3 Russian "diplomats" from the country. Slovaks and Czechs this is basically like in a marriage. we stay together for better or for worse. However, The government has described the report from our intelligence services as extremely worrying. But for obvious reasons, they will not disclose it to the public.
  16. Road to Riga Exhibition Games April 22nd, 2021 (28 Days to Go)- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Austria (Division IA) 0 - 5 Czech Republic (0-1, 0-2, 0-2)

  19. and we have the first official team roster ! 28 days to go. already officialy revealed teir team for Riga 2021. Team coached by Pete Russell shocked the whole hockey world by avoiding the relegation thanks to surprising overtime win over France in their last and decisive game at the 2019 World Championships in Slovakia. Teams are allowed to select 28 players on their roster for this year Tournament. while the British have still left one place vacant for now, they already announced today the 27 players wo will fly to Latvia for the mondial. The core of the team has remained unchanged compared to their roster in Košice 2 years ago with a total of 17 returning players from the last world championships. Five hockey players will experience their debut at the World Championships of any category, one is a complete novice in National Team and the remaining four have already played for Great Britain in lower World Championship divisions before or in Olympic qualifiers. Among notable players, Mike Hammond, who scored his team's only goal in 2019 in the 1-7 loss to host Slovakia, and the Mr hero scorer of that golden goal in overtime against the French who saved GB in the elite category, Ben Davies, are not missing. All but one of the players compete in the local national EIHL competition. Only Evan Mosey plays the German 2nd league. The 2020/21 EIHL season was not played, it was first interrupted due to coronavirus concerns, and later did not even restarted in full due to financial difficulties. But then the league announced that the season would take place in a shortened mode and with only four teams. Nottingham Panthers, Coventry Blaze, Manchester Storm and Sheffield Steelers. All 4 started playing each other in a special bubble in Nottingham only in early April. Each team play every opponent 4 times, so the teams will go to the playoffs after 12 duels. In it, they will play the semifinals in a changed format, the score will decide about the finalists, and the finals will be played as a best-of-3 series. The final should begins on May 1. In other words, Evan Mosey from the second German league will have the most matches played from this team. Great Britain is in the preliminary A-group, where it will meet with Russian Ice Hockey Federation Team, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Slovakia, Denmark and Belarus. They will start the tournament against Russian Ice Hockey Federation Team, after which Slovakia is waiting them as next opponent.
  20. Wrestling made it to the headline of our biggest sport daily newspaper !
  21. and Bilbao (venue of our last group match against Spain) is out as well. All venues of all our 3 group matches are out
  22. Agreement between both teams before the matches to do them as practices whatever the result is. Hint: This is the tactic Ramsay brought before the 2019 WCH preparation camp, he proposed the same thing to every coach of every opponent we met during the exhibition games, everone always fall in the trap, we have practices of PSO, special coaches get information about other teams PSO specialists and so on...to a surprise of nobody he restarted with it before the matches with Latvia and their coach agreed with the "practice plan"
  23. This is for history books. April 21st, 2021. Juraj Slafkovský, 17 years & 22 days 1st National Team cap, 1st National Team Goal, the only of the match to decide the overtime. The youngest player ever to play in our National Team. The youngest scorer ever of our National Team Day of records.
