The Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation (FHU) has temporarily suspended seven players of the national team and they can not start in any competitions.
According to the official website of the association, the reason for this decision was that the players left the national team on the eve of the start of the Euro Hockey Challenge in Budapest last week. Six of them are Donbass Donetsk players. These are Filippo Pangelov-Yuldashev, Vitali Andreikov, Viktor Zakharov, Alexandr Peresunko, Nikita Butsenko and Ilia Korenchuk, the seventh Pavel Taran plays for Kramatorsk. HC Donbass's honorary president Boris Kolesnikov decided to dismiss the players from the national team. The only one who refused to leave the national team was Vitaly Lyalka, to whom the club terminated the contract a few days later.
