  1. Total meltdown for Selina Gasparin. SUI fighting for 5 quotas against Czechs, they needed 5th place, but Selina will have to turn 3 loops after the standing. Czechs very likely will secure the 5 quotas for Beijing
  2. already 2 minutes behind 13th place. Looks is now really close to field a relay in Beijing

  5. First official info: 1) The M Pursuit is cancelled, instead of it tomorrow will be the today originally schedulled M Sprint 2) Both Hasilla and Baloga will travel today to Ruhpolding, I guess they will likely both compete in the Relay which is just so stupid...in the moment we are fighting for everything, instead of trying to secure that freaking Olympic Relay (and also the Mixed relay) we are going to have a pointless internal battle for the 4th quota, which btw we still do not have yet at all. Logic á la Made in Slovakia at it best pure finest
  6. Men´s sprint moved to Saturday due strong wind in Osrblie... Quite a problem, since it was supposed to be the last battle bewteen Baloga and Hasilla for tomorrow Relay last spot in Ruhpolding...more info to come Among Women Camille Bened won ahead of Evgeniia Burtasova and Natalia Gerbulova to note 5th place of Amanda Lightfoot and 7th for Joanne Reid from the host view Nice 30th place for Henrieta Horvátová

The kid still speak perfect slovak and his most memorable moment was the match against Slovakia at the cancelled U20 last December where he also scored a goal more about him https://www.archyworldys.com/matthew-knies-slovak-will-represent-the-usa-at-the-junior-championships-in-hockey-2022/

  13. is the first team to announce its roster, however it is not the "absolutely final one" as the head coach Pešan mentioned, First it contain only 24 players, so one should be added, also in case of eventual refusal of some players he has still behind his head a list of 30 subs from which he can pick replacements. The final decisive roster must be officialized the 24th of January Team Czech Republic Goaltenders: Patrik Bartošák (Amur Khabarovsk, KHL, ) Šimon Hrubec (Avangard Omsk, KHL, ) Roman Will (Traktor Chelyabinsk,KHL, ) Defencemen: Jakub Jeřábek (Spartak Moscow, KHL, ) Lukáš Klok (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, KHL, ) Ronald Knot (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, KHL, ) Tomáš Kundrátek (Ocelari Třinec, ) Vojtech Mozik (Admiral Vladivostok, KHL, ) David Sklenička (Jokerit Helsinki, KHL, ) Libor Šulák (Admiral Vladivostok, KHL, ) Forwards: Roman Červenka (Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, ) Michael Frolík (HC Lausanne, ) Tomáš Hyka (Traktor Chelyabinsk, KHL, ) Ján Kovář (EV Zug, ) David Krejčí (HC Olomouc, ) Radan Lenc (Amur Khabarovsk, KHL, ) Michal Repík (Sparta Prague, ) Lukáš Sedlák (Traktor Chelyabinsk, KHL, ) Jiří Smejkal (Pelicans Lahti, ) Vladimír Sobotka (Sparta Prague, ) Michael Špaček (Frolunda Gothenburg, ) Matěj Stránský (HC Davos, ) Hynek Zohorna (IK Oskarshamn, ) Tomáš Zohorna (IK Oskarshamn, )
  14. and Ester Ledecká was not considered to finish in top 20 in PyeongChang Super-G I´ve seen so many incredible things in sports in my life that unless it is completely over I won´t believe anything. Japanese men are great in shooting, without any spare they can very well have the day of their lifes, and it can also very well be on this Saturday. Would not surprise me at all as it will perfectly fit with Slovak sport luck

  18. So situation before the last race (Saturday Relay) Our team did not score any points in the Olympic qualification today, thanks one of the worst sprint of our men in the last years.... The Estonians in the other hand must be actually in the last races under some Asterix and Obelix magic possion or I do not know what is going on here..they even gained up unbelievable 281 points today !!!, so they flew up from 21st to 19th place one race before the Olympics Qualification end. Their last races are seriously really unbelievable. Anyway, our other opponent the Japanese were even worst than us, they collected only 93 points, which is far from the top six of their best (counted) sprints. So they still stand 67 points behind us and if they want to push us out of the Top 20, they will need to eliminate the entire gap in the Saturday relay. have to end the worst in 10th place. (assuming SVK will not finish better than 16th)
  19. Scored 281 points today .. Unbelievable...just unbelievable

To give you an idea, in the last fifteen sprints the Japanese have reached such points only twice, even very narrowly, and the Estonians only once, when Zahkna literally exploded last week and brought them an incredible 17th place. Ie. it would be a lot of bad luck for us if both countries manage to do so in Ruhpolding. The Slovaks could make it even more difficult for their opponents if they overcame the mentioned 199 points, ie a combination of 59th, 61st and 94th places for example, which we achieved in December 2020 in Hochfilzen. We hopefully believe it will be within our possibilities. Interestingly, while the Estonians know they are basically now playing for everything and god know they are suddenly doing really really well, the Japanese have done very well this entire season so far, but in Oberhof it seemed like they maybe started to have run out of pace, so hypothetically perhaps the Japanese are now a lesser threat....who knows Relay (Saturday): From view Slovaks need to improve 160 points from 16th place, Japanese and Estonians need to improve 17th place. They will receive 10 points for each higher placement. So hypothetically, if the Japanese didn't get anything from the sprint, they would need an almost unrealistic tenth place in the relay, the Estonians even eighth. However, after the sprint, the cards are expected to be served again. I will recalculate this again after the sprint.
