  6. Wow ! what a educational video about off-sides in hockey by Marián Hossa He scored 2 goals last night against Arizona, and both were too close of the offside, the first one maybe was, but the second one is just a fantastic and briliant example how to avoid the off-side in the best possible way

  10. well, if he qualify he better wear more clothes during the opening ceremony this time otherwise he will freeze
  11. yes, or Jakub Holubek (slovak footballer and member of our largest National team roster)
  12. I was always a fan of the french womens team, since Marie Dorin surprising bronze in Vancouver 2010 sprint, I can not forget her cute joy after the race and also as each olympic fan I´m rooting for small and exotic nations participating in sports, so I always cheer for all athletes from non-winter sport powerhouses during the winter season
  13. I am sure you will have both relays in PyeongChang, the mens one is almost sure, and about the womens with the return of Smutná and a better shape of Nováková (certainly she will improve her form during the season) shouldn´t be a problem to qualify. just pity for Vrabcová-Nyvltová I heard somewhere that she is thinking to never return to skiing...but as I said, I assume will have both relays. no chance for that, we even haven´t more than 2 mens or 2 womens with achieved eligible standards for higher rated races. Mlynár and Procházková will be probably our only athletes in PyeongChang, maybe Alena will open the door for one another girl, but it will be very hard
  14. Ritten to host final Continental Cup venue decided The 2017 IIHF Continental Cup Final will take place in Ritten. The bid from Italy was selected among several applicants. The tournament will be hosted from 13th to 15th January in Ritten, a town near Bolzano in the northern Italian region of South Tyrol. The IIHF has reviewed the hosting applications and considered the ranking of all qualified teams after the semi-final tournaments, the standard of previous organizations, arenas, accommodation situation as well as the proposed tournament dates since not all applicants had their venue available for the originally agreed dates of 13-15 January. Ritten Sport is a second-time participant in the Continental Cup but already successfully hosted two semi-final events in 2014 and 2016 and qualified for the final tournament for the first time. It will be the second time that the Continental Cup Final will take place in Italy after 2003 when Milan co-hosted the event with Lugano, Switzerland. The finalists battling for the Continental Cup are host Ritten Sport, the Nottingham Panthers from Great Britain, Kazakh champion Beibarys Atyrau and the Odense Bulldogs from Denmark who qualified through the semi-final tournaments in November. The game schedule will be announced soon. The winner of the 2017 IIHF Continental Cup will get the chance to play in the Champions Hockey League 2017/2018 pending formal approval by the CHL board as it was the case with the last three winners – the Stavanger Oilers from Norway in 2014, Neman Grodno from Belarus in 2015 and the Rouen Dragons from France in 2016. The 2016/2017 season is the Continental Cup’s 20-year-anniversary season. Click on the right or here for a video looking back at the past winners. Continental Cup 2016/17 Complete results thread Here
  15. yeah thats your g instead of h you say "jugoslavia" we say "juhoslávia"
  16. yes, in slovak forums started huge discussions about this, many peoples writing that it wasn´t a good decision to send Janka out instead of Terézia Poliaková (she is by far our best shooter, but her run is just atrocious, even if she shoot 10/10 she will fight only for 60th-70th place, because of her slow run ) other peoples saying that it was right, she had the worst rank (as it was said in the rules before the races) and there no place to look at merits or names, she finished the worst ranked so she is out....but yep it´s still a controversy, I mean the races were too windly. but unfortunately we have only 4 womens quotas for world cup and we can´t send more than 4 girls. however as it was said, Janka will have chance to return, she had to achieve some satisfying results in Ridnaun IBU cup. btw if you want to know more about the decision and Janka Gereková reaction you can find it in the last parts of this article http://www.biatlon-info.sk/spravodajstvo/svetovy-pohar/278-sumar-oestersundu-uradovali-ti-najlepsi-z-nasich-potesili-fialkova-s-hasillom-vyjadrenia
