  1. Teams is very inconvenient (in my experience) if you aren’t active on other Microsoft services. Although, it think that applies to Google, Adobe, Apple, etc. too.
  2. Had that happen to me in a few interviews during my time at ATR I generally prefer the Google suite of apps to Microsoft suite of apps though. Unfortunately, Microsoft and Adobe are more popular.
  3. Official Announcement The opening ceremony will held on Saturday (November 18) at 11:00 AM local time. The Grand Final will be held the following day on Sunday (November 19) starting at 09:00 AM. The team draw will be held on Friday. I willuse a website to assign pairs, and then announce the results (unless anyone else has a better idea). There will be no (or very few) tables and scoreboards used this edition. Nonetheless, I will send juries a themed set of votes to post during the Grand Final.
  4. Okay, we're probably looking at another postponement. Tables have become my mortal enemy, and everyone on the organizing side of things is stumped as to why. The tables don't format properly if I use copy/paste or "source" functions. They also don't paste properly if someone else makes them and I post them. I will explore options with @OlympicIRL, and make announcement in the near future (hopefully).
  5. I haven't seen much info, but I'll pass anything I find along.
  6. If I can get enough national voting cards finished today, we'll go ahead with the opening ceremony and grand final as schedules. OC would be at 11 (California time) tomorrow, with the Grand Final beginning at 09:00 (California time) Saturday.
  7. The tables have never really worked for me. They are general disproportionate when I post them for the US jury. I assumed I was just doing something wrong, hence why I bid to host anyway, but clearly it is something more systemic on my end.
  8. Game Bids reporting a 2027 Commonwealth Games might be on the table.
  9. with a match forfeit in football before the tournament has even begun. Link: https://www.sol2023.com.sb/notice-board-update12/
  10. Anything organized by the OCA this cycle
  11. I've stumped them. We're probably just going to have a go with a bare bones set up to make it work. Simple tables, limited scoreboards, etc.
  12. AIMAG postponed once more.
  13. I’ve tried three search engines and three different devices.
  14. Formatting gremlins have returned I'll post a more comprehensive update in the morning.
  15. I've been busy, but the hope is to go ahead with the grand final on Saturday. I'll confirm the times soon.
  16. Should the Commonwealth Games Federation and find a host for 2026, will be eligible to send delegations for the first time.
  17. Really, this should be the focus at this point. Everyone can point fingers at Israel, Palestine, Hamas, Iran, US, Qatar, Egypt, UK, EU, etc., but then we're all like the child saying, "they started it." It won't be an attitude conducive of peace. This isn't to say that those committing war crimes, or instigating outbursts of violence shouldn't be held responsible (because they absolutely should), but people need to approach the peace process with a willingness to compromise and forge a new path forward. This is true of most conflicts globally right now.
  18. Obstacle swimming events have been dropped from lifesaving
  19. qualified in boules according to the IWGA. Hopefully they fill the qouta(s). They didn't qualify any athletes to Birmingham 2022.
  20. There's very much a, "not me, not my problem" attitude in the United States. Even when it comes to mass shootings or other domestic mass casualty incidents. My family and I recently had an argument about this because I think people should care about what happens outside our family/community/state/country. Of course, people can't afford to run around from problem to problem trying to solve them all because they have lives to live too. However, the least we can do is pressure (through peaceful means) elected officials to seek peaceful resolutions and pragmatic solutions to problems people face around the world. There is a not insignificant number of Americans who want a ceasefire. And yes, there are people grandstanding one side or other. This a complex issue, and absolutes won't lead to practical or humane solutions. I certainly don't watch television, popcorn in hand, gleefully enjoying the deaths of civilians. I'd love nothing more than to wake up and read about a realistic peace process that guarantees the civil and human rights of both Palestinians and Israelis. I think that is an oversimplification. The real beauty of democracy is that it allows for a plurality of viewpoints. There may be one more supported by the population at a given time, but there is also almost certainly dissidence to that viewpoint as well. A population can look at the affect leaders' policies have had on the nation, and decide to chart a different course. Democracy doesn't always travel the morally attractive path (there are plenty of examples of that throughout history). However, it does provide to greatest opportunity for a population to make that choice.
  21. Maybe a format similar to the madison could work for long track? Skaters could either push or hand sling on exchanges over a longer distance points race.
  22. PanamSports Channel will stream this event as well. More info from the press release below.
  23. World Skate runs a relatively well-regarded relay event on the track. Of course, patinodromes are much closer in length to short track rinks than long track ovals. I’m not really sold on either the team pursuit or team sprint, but at least they’re different from other skating events on the Olympic program.
  24. I went to the Lions v. Chargers game at SOFI Stadium today. It would have been hard to choose a more entertaining game. The atmosphere in the stadium was incredible, and it was very clean for an American venue.
  25. It’s based on an average, so it’s not a guaranteed thing. They might be ineligible though, since they tend to qualify at handful of athletes.
