    The first women's semi was 11 seconds slower than the slowest quarter final Some of it is due to tactics, but I'm afraid fatigue is kicking in, given how hard the course is.

    Mocellini may have made a bit of a tactical mistake by overtaking Tuz at the end. By winning, he ended up in the 1st semifinal, which is going to be insanely competitive. It is true that with Ogden in there, it may the faster semifinal and 4 athletes may come out of that, but I'm not sure being in the top 4 in first semi is going to be easier than being in the top 2 in the second semi.

    The Italian commentator just said it was a member of the German technical staff who provided Mocellini with a new pole when he lost his own. Kudos to Germany

    Ogden is going to be a problem for Norway, perhaps with the exception of Klaebo. Pellegrino looking completely spent at the end. He could still get through as LL, but that's as far as he can go.

    This sprint is ridiculously hard Nice performances by Ganz and Cassol, reaching the semifinal was the goal for the Italians.
