  1. Yes I just realized I picked the wrong data
  2. Is there an Italian dressage team?
  3. As far as you know, is there a live streaming?
  4. Is championship going to start or the hurricane will delay it, at the moment at least?
  5. In case of raining, PalaLottomatica was supposed to host the match. I can’t answer the other question, I find it weird too. It’s ok make this kind of opening, I would have planned to play the other matches tomorrow and then on Thursday the second pool matches
  6. The maximum quota per NOC is indicated in 30 atheltes (15 men + 15 women), divided as max 2 per events per sex plus 6 for mixed team events. This means that Slovakia has now qualified a "mixed team only" pair of athletes plus it is granted a "composite team" due to the results of the individual events. The fact that it can be obtained with the same athletes may not be the best, but it is not unfair in my opinion. I see it as a specific chance to get a third qualified athlete per sex given to the NOC.
  7. @JoshMartini007 thanks, I don't know why I was thinking to it as a kind of archery mixed team
  8. Mixed team events in shooting are going to be very thrilling since two teams per nation will be allowed to compete. I really hope tomorrow Italy will take the quota, otherwise is going to be difficult to qualify individually two teams. (Differently from skeet, where Italy actually is very very strong, trap is somehow descending in quality, although I think Marongiu and Palmitessa will become very good shooters).
  9. Does any of you know something about the competition format of the trap mixed event? Is it like an individual event or things are different?
  10. According to current qualification status, apart from Japan as host and China and Russia winning mixing team quotas, there are South Korea qualified in mixed team 10m pistol, and Australia and Slovakia in mixed trap
  11. Considering this year world cup, only one stage per event will give out points in 2018/2019 world cup. I expect in total 5 world cup stages per event giving out ranking point, 1 in 2019 belonging to 2018/2019 world cup (listed in the message above this); 1 in 2019 belonging to 2019/2020 world Cup and finally 3 in 2020 belonging to the 2019/2020 world cup. In addition, 2019 World championships and Continental Championships must be considered.
  12. Some news on this field too I was checking the FIE website and I found the dates of the first Team World Cup stages giving out points for the Olympic qualification ranking. Here they are: Foil W: May 5 2019, Tauberbischofsheim, (thanks copy and paste) Foil M: May 5 2019, St. Petersburg, Sabre M: May 12 2019, Madrid, Sabre F: May 12 2019, Tunis, Epee M: May 19 2019, Paris Epee M: May 19 2019, Dubai The World Championships will be hosted in Budapest, 15-23 July 2019. As regards Continental Championships, Asian Championships will be in Tokyo, 13-16 June 2019, while Dusseldorf will host European Championships from 17 to 22 June. No data are given for African and Oceanian* Championship, while I guess PanAm games will be used as continental championships for the Americas. *I wonder no Oceanian federation exists
  13. In the case of Josefa Idem, she was even nominated as sport Minister in 2013. However, typically SouthAmericans, as @phelpssaid, come back home after their sporting career. Other, especially Africans and Asians, stay here, and some of them are actually Italian (meaning that they were born here or came here when they were childs). Going back to the other discussion, the problem is not (only) the lack of fundings, but the way in which sport is considered in Italy in general: it is though to be impossible to live of sport, unless you are a football player, a pro tennis or a rare exception in basketball/volleyball/swimming. Almost every athlete in Italy, to compete at best levels, must join sporting group of military forces, that allow you to have a salary whilst remaining an athlete. Rarely it is possible to study and make sport (as it is typical in the USA, for example), because almost no University in Italy has mid/high sporting facilities, neither our NOC gives out fellowships for paying higher education studies.
  14. Italy haD solid federations and a working model that fit with relatively low level sport (in general, not only referred to wrestling). Now that sport (every sport) has become more and more professional and with very high level, our federations are almost locked to early 80s.
  15. WKF has announced calendar for 2019 season. So up to now, here is the list of ranking events for Tokyo 2020: 2018/09/14 - 2018/09/16 Karate Premier League Berlin 2018/09/21 - 2018/09/23 Karate Series A Santiago del Chile 2018/10/12 - 2018/10/14 Karate Premier League Tokyo 2018/11/06 - 2018/11/11 Karate World Champs. Madrid 2018/12/07 - 2018/12/09 Karate Series A Shanghai 2019/01/25 - 2019/01/27 Karate Premier League Paris 2019/02/15 - 2019/02/17 Karate Premier League Dubai 2019/03/01 - 2019/03/03 Karate Series A Salzburg 2019/04/19 - 2019/04/21 Karate Premier League Rabat 2019/05/17 - 2019/05/19 Karate Series A Istanbul 2019/06/07 - 2019/06/09 Karate Premier League Shanghai 2019/06/21 - 2019/06/23 Karate Series A Montreal 2019/09/06 - 2019/09/08 Karate Premier League Tokyo 2019/09/20 - 2019/09/22 Karate Series A Santiago del Chile 2019/10/04 - 2019/10/06 Karate Premier League Moscow 2019/11/29 - 2019/12/01 Karate Premier League Madrid To these events, other should be added referred to 2020, plus in addition continental games
  16. At this moment, for this WC, and are really underperforming. It will be like an all-Asian event at the Olympics
  17. I really hope they will be given a chance for the senior world cup and continental championships. The average age of the Italian shooting team is incredibly high. Pellielo himself, he is a legend, but honestly I think he should give up...
  18. With the second round of rifle qualification events things become interesting as now some big names cannot obtain more quotas. I have a question regarding this, however, and I'm sorry if you have already answered it. Let's assume that, for example, qualifies 4 quotas in rifle as individuals (so excluding mixed team). If it enters the same two athletes in both events, they are considered as double starters? And in that case, what happen to the two individual quotas? They are considered as they were not used?
  19. It would be nice to see if Japan qualifies any athlete who is going to be the reallocated one
  20. Ma davvero Tamberi ha fatto decidere ai tifosi se partecipare agli assoluti oppure no?
