  1. Oh that is freaking awesome I mean, too bad he lost his job but he's easily good enough to get a new one so no worries, and it's awesome he took a stance against the owners
  2. A majority will, yes (and not only Asian fans). Personally I don't get very much attracted to these matches because they're way overplayed....like 'El Clásico', cool, but not if there's a million of them every year I'd still watch the Olympics if it was every year but it would be a whole lot less special
  3. And also a statement from the official supporter club of Manchester City, who are not at all happy neither (and also wrongfully seem to think football belongs to them/fans, which is a bit too optimistic in a sport where it's basically only about the billions and billions of euros). https://www.mancityosc.com/post/european-super-league It'd be cool to see supporter clubs of rival teams cooperate or stand together in this though, that would create some unexpected solidarity.
  4. I mean, this Super League is bullshit, I think we all agree on that here and that's the main thing, but the total 100% explosive anger in the reactions is almost funny
  5. Elephants 1 - Poacher 0
  6. Good luck in CAS when you say (let's take one player as example) Messi can't play for Argentina anymore because he played for FC Barcelona in a Superleague match... And 50 billion, lol. Don't get me wrong, not a fan at all of this Superleague nonsense, but FIFA/UEFA's response is (expectedly) ridiculous.
  7. Right after NASCAR is renamed the World Pace Car Riding Because Of Small Things On The Track Championships.
  8. That was a weird but entertaining race
  9. And Quartararo gets it, not much of a fight anymore in the top. Oh well, on to F1
  10. Rins throws away a podium. Zarco throws away a possible podium and his WCh lead. As for the 'lesser gods', Oliveira, Miller and Rossi are out and Pol Espargaro parked his bike with a brake problem.
  11. Pedro Acosta meanwhile with another superb showing, what a phenomenal rookie season First one since Daijiro Kato (RIP) to get a podium in his first three GP's. Although interestingly, Kato's first three races were all wildcard entries in Japan (3rd, 1st, 1st) before later he finally got a permanent ride.
  12. Excellent start, not so excellent rest of the race. Definitely missing some rhythm
  13. Well, then I think Van Dijke should get the ticket. She took her chance when she had it, Polling did not.
  14. How did Van Dijke win the gold if she was without a chance against Pinot in the final?
  15. Henk Grol beat Roy Meyer in a rather unfriendly matchup, which should seal the Olympic deal for Grol
  16. Probably Sweden forced him to go live there
  17. Jill Holterman qualifies with a 2:28.18, twelve seconds under the national standard and a more than 6 minute PB Ruth van der Meijden finished in 2:29.30, exactly the standard....internationally, not nationally
  18. The other young Namibian who is sort of on her level as well (but a little older) competed in the African Games in 2019, for example, that's not so 'mysterious' anymore. Very curious to see them in a big meet though, absolutely.
  19. So in 2015 Butter missed the limit by eight seconds. He had retired by now, but recently made a comeback when cycling made him realize he still has an excellent shape. Today he was among a group of Dutch athletes going for both the limit and the top-3 Dutch athletes, because with the current shoe technology situation the Netherlands has a significant number of athletes capable of running the limit. The top times in the qualifying period before today: Butter and the others were on their way to 2:09 for a long time, then one by one they dropped and Butter kept going for a 2:09....however, he started to lose some pace and in the end finished in 2:10.30, meaning he's likely to miss the Olympics by 14 seconds this time
  20. Watching the Red Bull Rookies Cup (motorsports) and apparently this season the host is one Dominika Grnova, which I thought sounded Slovak and apparently is https://www.dominikaridesmoto.com/ I don't encounter a Slovak host of an international broadcast very often, so one good thing for today @hckošice
  21. I have never heard of any of these ladies, so I don't want to mess up your poll by randomly guessing
  22. Hurray for AstraZeneca.... (or just your bad luck, the people I know who have been vaccinated, two of whom are rather vulnerable, have had no problem at all...) Wishing you the best for today dude. Hang on, it's almost tomorrow!
  23. I don't actually remember how I followed London 2012. I went for Rio, because for that one I know I had no obligation like school or a job or anything so it was 100% watching whatever I could Beijing 2008 was when I had just started my first job, sadly. I do remember walking around the warehouse with earphones in listening to the radio secretly, specifically Marianne Vos winning track cycling gold and the Dutch hockey men losing shootouts to Germany
Dressuur boeit me totáál niet. BMX heb ik ook zin in
