  1. Hindley almost crashing head-first into a stone wall because he's been fighting to get his jacket on for minutes now.
  2. Kelderman's team has broken Almeida....after which an out-of-this-earth Rohan Dennis has broken Kelderman. Jai Hindley is incredibly strong.
  3. Valverde +0:51 Dumoulin +0:51 Formolo +0:51 Martinez +4:29 Vlasov +4:31 Pinot +9:56 Ion Izagirre +11:12 Froome +11:12 Woods +18:29 That was stage 1.
  4. Incredible first stage, what a war already! And my predictions are an absolute and total disaster
  5. Imagine getting screwed for 8000 euro by Ben O'Connor of all places.
  6. Chris quietly optimistic Froome is nearly being dropped from the peloton which still counts at least 50+ riders at the start of the day's last climb.
  7. And Tratnik wins, gambleSlovenian cheers Riders in the last year of their contract strike again
  8. Not really though. The Vuelta has a strong field in terms of GC riders, the Giro has a decent field but with Yates and Kruijswijk out one can forgive the field for not being as strong as it could be and with Ackermann, Bennett (Vuelta) and Demare (Giro) the world's best sprinters are in them. The likes of Van der Poel, Van Aert and Alaphilippe were in the classics which is by far their strongest point anyway. All together, it's just not really noticeable that the peloton is a bit stretched.
  9. Dani Martinez looks hurt after a fall I hope he can get back on his bike, but fear either a DNF today or DNS tomorrow..
  10. Historic moment: at this very moment, two Grand Tours are being held, the Vuelta has started.
  11. In February it was Gaviria and his leadout Maximiliano Richeze who tested positive. Now Gaviria tested positive again and after 50km or so....DNF Richeze.
  12. No idea why, although one can imagine it's seen as a useless thing to do. Choose one side and the other will be mad forever, choose another side and the first one will be mad forever. Let's be real, it's not like there is any situation possible that even remotely comes close to both sides being happy. It's like a never-ending bitchfight where no side wants to give up a tiny millimeter, with the normal people being the actual victims. Yeah I can imagine other countries would take their sweet time before burning their hands on it.
  13. Trump was nominated by some far-right weirdo in parliament, who'd have nominated him no matter how idiotic he acts.
  14. Large group has picked up 5+ minutes already and seems likely to battle for the win. Matteo Fabbro is in it, which I find absolutely excellent considering I've got him to win today, but no Valter or Kangert and both Warbasse and Rubio should have attacked in one of the upcoming days, not now
  15. Yeah, if you change the length and the length is a prominent part of the name...I'm fairly sure one would have to change to name Then again, in car racing the DTM (German Touring Car Championship) will move from touring cars to sports cars next year, yet keep the DTM name. Brugge isn't alone
  16. It's Fernando Gaviria, who was one of the first cyclists to test positive back in late February/early March and now tested positive again, after riding around incredibly mediocre basically since he came back to action.
  17. One UAE rider positive, and an Ag2r staff member. https://www.uci.org/fr/inside-uci/press-releases/d-claration-conjointe-rcs-sport-–-uci-concernant-la-campagne-de-tests-des-18-et-19-octobre No name yet, let's see what UAE does now.
  18. Such a shame there's no spectators allowed with the Vuelta starting in the very best most crazy cycling region of the world
  19. Nothing is too crazy anymore in 2020
