  1. At 2:39.40 hours into the video, that really is a Slovak MiG-29 taking off to start the show
  2. Why do idiot media call these kind of criminals "football fans"? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/10/euro-2016-england-fans-clash-with-marseille-riot-police-for-seco/ When you're beating up other people, you are not a fan of your own team. Fans don't bring trouble to their own team. I hope the police will arrest each and every one of those f*cking criminals and let them rot in a cell for a good while.
  3. I hope the real Albania wins but only if Lenjani or Roshi scores a goal (because of a bet, apart from that I don't care a lot)
  4. It's definitely not going to the Netherlands Or well, maybe it does, but then it will go on to the next nation.
  5. 100% sure I also saw a Slovak flag at one of the stands in the "static display", probably of the team around that MiG-29 Russians
  6. Today I went to the "open days" of the Dutch air force, which always has a rather big air show. Guess what, one of the demo's/shows was done by a Slovak air force MiG-29 and it was an awesome one
  7. France - Romania now somewhat and that's it for today

  9. Out of those, Spanovic would definitely be in my top-3 anyway given her usual shape at major champs
  10. That strawberry in Oslo
  11. That's gonna be an awesome fight in Rio with several potential 7m+ jumpers all at once
  12. AO, RG, all the same (kidding obviously, just so that's clear)
  13. And that's an injury and potentially the end for Kim Collins, at least as far as Rio is concerned
  14. Exactly the reason why I was sad Federer had to withdraw from the AO and we had the first GS in the entire millenium (!) without Federer.
  15. Talay disqualified, such a sad sight Talay
  16. I see Storl only had 2 competitions so far this year, is he injured or something? I really hope not, shot put can be one of the best fights in Rio.
  17. 89.30m for Röhler
  18. Nope, I am not trolling, which is of course obvious. He keeps improving and improving and now already thew over 21 meters again. If he keeps improving in the next months and has the championship genes of Majewski, he is definitely capable of throwing 21.50m and that's always a distance that puts you right up in the medal fight. Read careful: if he has Majewski's "championship genes". Majewski always and everywhere is at his very best at major championships and throws by far his best distances. If Bukowiecki can do that too (again, if) and actually already reach the 21.50m, he simply will be in the medal fight. Normally I'd say Storl (is he fit?) could be considered the favourite together with Kovacs, a fight which if both are fit in my opinion is somewhat 50/50. Obviously there are quite a number of athletes who are able to fight for the medals and Bukowiecki simply is one of them.
  19. And that's 21.14m and a new world junior record (again) for Bukowiecki If that guy has any of the "championship genes" of Majewski, he's gonna be hard to beat in Rio.
  20. 20.77m opening attempt for Bukowiecki at the shot put in Oslo, that guy is going to do big things in Rio this summer
  21. Yuri van Gelder (NED) has announced he is now certain of a spot in the Dutch team Great news, after missing out in 2008 because he only finished in a terrible 2nd place at the world championships (horribly stupid rule) and in 2012 because he finished only 5th at the world championships.
  22. Yeah, my problem really is not with Asemani herself. Indeed, she was apparently good enough to qualify. The problem is with Belgium not having a quota place and Belgium apparently having "two" athletes at the OQT where one was allowed.
  23. Belgium Women Raheleh Asemani (-57kg) Men Si Mohamed Ketbi (-58kg) Jaouad Achab (-68kg) Yep, Asemani. We all know the story I guess and I think we all have the same opinion on this. The other big thing is Ketbi is selected after all, after a whole lot of problems with staying under the weight limit. Meaning Mourad Laachraoui isn't going to Rio and the Dutch headlines of a while back ("Brother of Brussels terrorist going to Rio") were indeed bullshit, as expected.
  24. Alright, without the obviously best and second-best teams in the world Wait, Denmark didn't qualify? I thought with this new format basically everyone qualifies apart from the "dwarves" like Andorra, San Marino and Liechtenstein
  25. Plans for the weekend: F1 IndyCar (?) NASCAR Euro 2016 without the obviously best team in the world Probably more but I'll have to check the tv channel's schedule
