  1. Bruna and Gabi are here to change that
  2. Just as a medal event at the Olympics, because getting medals for both the sprint and pursuit is totally ridiculous
  3. If you want to remove any canoeing, remove some sprint events. And possibly some rowing while you're at it.
  4. I'm TeamHCKosice in this one. Remove the canoe slalom and especially the 50k walk from the program and I'll remove you from the program
  5. Wait what? Remove this sport? Help me beat that idea out of their heads
  6. Otcenas Slovakia has an IBU world champion
  7. Gabi kept 4 girls behind her, very nicely done
  8. Start lists for tomorrow's sprint are published, some small thoughts about 'my' girls: - Gabi starts with bib 19 in a junior field of 46 athletes. She already beat the Greek girl last season, and almost beat the Spanish girl. I think she can beat them and the Armenian girl. - Bruna has bib 39 in a field of 51, in which the level will be way higher than she has ever seen. If she keeps one athlete behind her, it would be a performance to be proud of
  9. Churandy, what the fuck man 19.81, national record
  10. Interviewer 3 minutes after the race: "It must feel really shitty to miss out on a medal by 0,01 seconds, how bad do you feel about it?" Martina: "Bad? Why?! I gave everything I had, how can I feel bad about that?" (with his always present huge smile )
  11. There's like three times as much noise and as many people as in Rio
  12. Mostly joking of course, secretly bestmen is our favourite Algerian ever
  13. It's bestmen's phrase when an Algerian doesn't win or something
  14. For example Nicholas Bett now. Let's see if he has learned how to jump over a hurdle
  15. Meh...let's say I'm more a fan of Mathilde-Amivi Petitjean
  16. South Korea's team for the mixed relay tomorrow.. I know it's not a surprise, but it still looks weird to actually see it now.
  17. I'm fine with people representing exotic nations if they at least have some sort of connection with it (through family, love, living there for years etc). Mostly because it can create an interest in the sport that would otherwise never exist, even if it's only 50 people getting interested and only 10% of those actually trying to do the sport..
  18. Lovely weather during today's practice in Otepää by the way: https://www.facebook.com/estonianbiathlonteam/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1756390117975040
  19. Well even something like that could be an incentive...it has to start somewhere, doesn't matter if it's from a Colombian born in Europe In Brazil it was just 2-3 people that started with cross-country skiing/rollerskiing, and especially thanks to Leandro Ribela that grew to more and more and more people Sure, it's not exactly a national sport, but if people get interested, do this sport, get other people interested and so on you can get a ball rolling
  20. Awesome I hope one day a Colombian will get a crazy idea and start getting into doing this sport, just like they did in Chile, Brazil and Argentina. Those are even the only nations participating at South American Championships though, it'd be cool to start seeing some Colombians, Peruvians, and so on there as well
  21. I added some nations in the list above Russia won't send any of their top athletes, just names I didn't even see before.. No Rastorgujevs for Latvia, but Baiba Bendika will be there, which is cool! Serbia was on the list of 24 nations, but won't travel to Otepää due to financial trouble unfortunately.
  22. The participating athletes I found so far (minus the junior men, I was too lazy and there are no Brazilians there so I didn't take the time to make the list ):
  23. Have you seen a qualifying procedure before where first it says there will be no reallocation of unused quota, only for that to be changed once there are unused quote?
  24. It'd be really awesome if Causil or another Colombian makes it to Pyeongchang, long live exotic nations
  25. Thanks! Yes I saw that site..I really, really hope anyone wherever on internet will record the women's competitions or at least make some recording/screenshots of Bruna and Gabi, because I won't be able to watch it or even follow the live results..
