  1. Enger is impressive as well so far by the way
  2. Wow, another epic sprint Horrible positioning by Cavendish, Greipel was simply empty at 100m to go and wow, Groenewegen even got close after sprinting for a longer time than anyone else
  3. Good last few hundred meters for Sagan today
  4. By the way, imagine the scenario that they had totally missed any word about AUS and CRO rejecting the quota and this is the first time they hear it... I'd definitely tell them it's thanks to Totallympics and redirect them here
  5. If they're anything like Brazilian biathletes, they'd prefer being realistic than saying "we're definitely going for the gold"
  6. Yes. They have like 1% medal chance and need a huge miracle for that, but that's still more than the only other Austrian team.. In my message to them I asked about national standards as well, maybe it has something to do with that.
  7. And Croatia apparently, which I could have read if I looked 2 posts higher Still it's weird that there's absolutely no word about it on their Facebook page for example. Let's wait and see what they answer.
  8. What's the deal with the Austrian 49erFX crew? On Facebook they wrote quite clearly (in April) that they're not going to Rio because the Finnish boat beat them, yet the OP here and the list on Wikipedia says they did qualify.. Edit: What better way to find out than ask them myself, long live Facebook
  9. Tomorrow we're going to Limoges, the city where Sagan really showed himself to the public for the first time
  10. Tom Dumoulin: "Stages like this have no place in Grand Tours anymore. Today we had one guy who was crazy enough to go in the lead for 210km knowing he would be caught...why would you do that? I guess tomorrow there's a good chance nobody will even try to attack. These stages...they make nobody happy, it's boring for everyone." I think Contador disagrees at the moment, but alright
  11. Meh, at the beach you get sand everywhere, I'm not jealous of people who are at the beach
  12. Ah I knew there was another ex-Rabobank rider who had that Logically, because Rabobank and all their successors were/are the ultimate example of having a horrible sprint train. Seriously, Sagan is way better off on his own than any LottoNL-sprinter with their train. At least Groenewegen is somewhat capable of getting a position for himself, Moreno Hofland is the worst example: if another rider says "boo" he will move and give away his place.
  13. Why would he need that? Freire never had a sprint train and still won a decent amount of stages Not everyone needs a sprint train, it's also possible to simply take a place in someone else's train
  14. One of the best sprints in quite a while by the way
  15. Kittel and Groenewegen passed a ton of riders on the sides, but they were way too far behind
  16. A team almost entirely consisting of rookies, that's a gamble they're taking to try and take down Netherlands and Argentina..
  17. Belgian commentators have resorted to describing what they had for lunch earlier today, "because what else do we have to talk about in this stage?!"
  18. Reporter to Cavendish: "You think you can keep wearing this green jersey until Paris?" Cavendish: "No way, when we're in the mountains we are all in the groupetto in the back and Sagan is picking up 20 points in the lead group. The green jersey is way out of reach for all of us. Sagan will always win the green as long as they have these intermediate sprints."
  19. Argentina women's team: Jugadoras convocadas: 1. Belén Succi 2. Florencia Mutio 3. Agustina Habif 4. Florencia Habif 5. Victoria Zuloaga 6. Julia Gomes Fantasia 7. Pilar Campoy 8. Rocío Sánchez Moccia 9. Carla Rebecchi 10. Delfina Merino 11. Noel Barrionuevo 12. Martina Cavallero 13. Gabriela Aguirre 14. María José Granatto 15. Lucina Von der Heyde 16. Agustina Albertarrio
  20. Today is the perfect example: long stages are horribly boring, usually.
  21. Voeckler has been on screen for 2 minutes and there we go, the Dutch commentators telling the story of his father. Every. Year.
