  1. Carmen Thalmann's hooligans can pack it up as well, torn ACL and end of the season http://www.krone.at/wintersport/ski-schock-carmen-thalmann-erleidet-kreuzbandriss-saison-aus-story-540355 Brem, Dopfer, Thalmann in a matter of weeks..damn.
  2. Strange last paragraph from FIS "We hope he will break his record and stay without wins"
  3. Luckily it seems like it ended up all ok in Fukushima. The only problem I heard of was of the cooling systems being down, but I guess they got it back up and running. The tsunami didn't really come, I spent one and a half hour watching to waves that are smaller than the waves in my bathtub (if I had a bathtub, which I don't anymore)
  4. How are the reports in Argentine media about it? On a Dutch forum there is some discussion on how bad this earthquake could be, and so far the opinions are mostly "There doesn't seem to be a lot of news, so hopefully it's not very bad" Is that about right?
  5. Quite a serious earthquake in Argentina 15 minutes ago: Hopefully our Argentine friends @LDOG @konig are alright, just like our Chilean friends of who I'm afraid the names just don't want to get in my mind.
  6. Anderson always has that extra gear at world championships, I still see him as co-favourite with MVG and Wright Taylor is declining faster and faster and although one should of course never write him off, the chance of him performing at a high enough level to beat Van Gerwen gets smaller every time. Of course he can beat MVG, and so can Van Barneveld, but I'd say the chance of them doing so is lower than the chance of Wright or Anderson doing so In the end of course everyone can theoretically beat anyone
  7. I stopped watching at 9-5 or something, looks like it didn't get any more exciting afterwards. At least Wright has shown again that he is in fantastic shape and if anyone can beat MVG at the World Championships, it's Wright or Anderson. All other players need a combination of one of their best days ina very long time + a bad day for MVG
  8. The level is not that high yet, but at least Wade can somewhat follow Van Gerwen...hopefully he can keep that up but I especially hope the level will start being worthy of a final
  9. The fact that Wright jumps to 3rd on the OoM should help him avoid MvG early on
  10. Unbelievable match going on between Van Gerwen and Wright, 11-9 and averages of 112 and 104 with an average of 1 180 in every leg
  11. 2nd place for 46-year old KC Boutiette in the mass start Sure, the mass start is a bit of a semi-competitive circus act, but still, seeing Boutiette back after so many years is awesome even if it's on a minor event like that
  12. Wow, those last 6-7 legs were absolutely amazing Anderson was just pounding the T20 again and again and again
  13. I hope you do so, so far it's a very nice match
  14. @Federer91 You there? It's time for Barney vs Gando, this could be a cracker Wade vs Dobey was as boring as I feared
  15. Hands up: who would stay awake all night to have an all-night TISC?
  16. I wanted to make sure people would recognize I was actually in the thread right now instead of just picking a random photo from internet
  17. Thanks everyone for a wonderful contest, it has been a lot of fun all day as always Congratulations to @OlympicIRL for another win, Ireland is the king of TISC! And a big thank you to @Werloc for the very good organization! It was postponed by a week and everything, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Very nicely done and I loved the introduction to beautiful Lithuania! And so, here is a drink to both our fantastic winner and great host
  18. Kicked out of the podium in the final two voting rounds.
  19. 11 points for USA... Nothing personal, but I'm not spending my vacation in Finland anytime soon
  20. USA, we gave you 12 points. Please give us enough points to beat both you and Canada
  21. Nooo Finland, why?! Just because Canada loves ice hockey too?
