  1. I didn't really see that many different reactions. Like him or not (especially not liking him is very understandable given all the bullshit he's pulled off in sprints and other races), he's definitely one of the all-time great sprinters and it's pretty cool what he did today. Well deserved win. Personally I'm not that happy that he took the all-time stage win record, but that's just because I enjoyed that not being in the hands of a pure sprinter, no matter which sprinter it would be.
  2. But most of the top riders should be better in Paris There is no way anyone in the omnium would even get anywhere near having like a 90% win chance...
  3. Wine only, different picture when moving to beer only With Namibia very clearly showing it's German history. Looking at alcohol as a whole, Uganda, Seychelles and Laos among others suddenly make an appearance
  4. Yeah, the big cities in the Netherlands aren't gonna be nice Saturday, no matter who wins Glad we live in a small town, where the main thing is in an appartment above one of the supermarkets: someone has had a Dutch and Turkish flag there on the balcony, this person/family must have had a lovely evening yesterday
  5. At least they showed good things in the past weeks, I'd have excellent hopes for the World Cup qualifying
  6. Yeah, there was no way that was dangerous play.
  7. After a group stage that just got worse and worse in terms of play, finally it was better today, with a lot more action being created and a very well deserved win Of course now it remains to be seen what this will mean. Should quite easily have been 6-0 with some of those massive chances, one can assume the strong teams will punish these misses a lot harder...
  8. 10th time Simons doesn't get to shoot in great position because of simply needing too much time...
  9. Honestly that was 90% due to the Dutch team playing truly horrific Today they're a bit better, but still super static, now it's just that Romania somehow didn't yet manage to do much.
  10. Especially Simons. Weghorst would have made at least two of his chances
  11. They both came in hard there, in F1 I'd say it was a race incident. Scary to see though, hope the guy is ok. Meanwhile, Simons
  12. Lovely goal, albeit horribly done by that goalkeeper.
  13. No, he based his case on his own results. I believe the others, unfortunately for them, can't really present similar results and so probably didn't believe a case would have any chance. Edit: now hearing mixed things about the other two, I'll take a look around.
  14. I assume Tapio Pulkkanen is the one who is going to have a very shitty evening, because Luiten has won his court case against the Dutch NOC, which is now forced to register him for the Olympics.
  15. I thought there was a rule about it being a fluent movement. Wish they'd bring that back/in, so penalties have to actually be done in a fluent forward movement.
  16. Why was Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty allowed despite him coming to a full stop in the run-up? That is such an annoying trend in football, and such a shame it was rewarded.
  17. Right, Georgia might be the favorite
  18. Underdogs for the win 3-0 Georgia against Spain 2-0 Netherlands against Romania 3-0 Slovenia against Portugal
  19. Oh shit, this will be Eze.
  20. That would have been an epic 2-0
  21. Yes yes yes! Come on miracle
  22. This has been an excellent opening weekend to watch, two attackers taking the win
