Out of curiousity: when talking about the Portuguese guy, do you guys talk about Ronaldo or Cristiano Ronaldo? I'm basically always calling him Cristiano Ronaldo (at least the first time I mention him), but I notice many people just say Ronaldo (which, when I hear that for the first time in a conversation, makes me think about the Brazilian one)

You are seeing things that don't exist. Time and time again, small riots break out here when Morocco has some important win or loss, that's all. I could not care less about their or anyone else's religion And apart from that, I like Iran in sports. Mostly thanks to MHSN's frequent insights in Iranian sports on here.

Out of pure curiosity: why do people support countries that are from the same continent as them, even when it's an entirely different country hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away? Is it just because of some continental pride or because one simply finds the country/team interesting?

Cofidis-fight between Nacer Bouhanni and Christophe Laporte They both sprinted for the win here and Bouhanni won after looking at the finish photo: https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/la-route-d-occitanie/2018/stage-1 As per usual, Bouhanni lost his shit as soon as 1 thing did not entirely go his way and apparently it was his plan that only he would sprint and not Laporte. Only a matter of time before Bouhanni gets (more) aggressive.

I didn't mean the goal I meant a moment a bit after that (when it was 1-0), when a Russian passed the ball to a teammate who was widely offside and more or less screwed up the chance (luckily, to avoid some drama).
