  1. Surely they'll take that too. Oh wait, they relegated, haha.
  2. This accusation, *wow*
  3. Congratulations on the world title Germany
  4. And Geisreiter had one super magical race and apart from that not much, one might see that as suspicious. And Baumgärtner is born in Russia Beckert kept skating and also posting his results including analysis and everything as always, also after that police raid in Austria and Germany. Doesn't sound very suspicious.
  5. Giving a B division team some hope, cute
  6. For those interested in the thoughts and contemplations of one of Brazil's main 2022 Olympic hopefuls about the now finally finished and - for many reasons - rather difficult season.
  7. Trainings are a lot longer than a little over a minute though, with blood doping one can imagine also a sprinter can train significantly longer and harder.
  8. Yes, according to the recent reports in the early 2000's around 90 times speed skaters - not known how many different skaters, but 5 or 6 of them Dutch - were 'warned' by the ISU, by sending a doping control officer to the skater when they had 'bad' blood values. Blood values couldn't result in a ban, so sending a DCO was a way of saying "hey, stop and take care" and magically, the blood values went down immediately after the DCO visit. This all is mostly based on the words of Harm Kuipers, former member of ISU's medical commission, by the way.
  9. Adding Samuel Schwarz, Robert Lehmann and Alexej Baumgärtner. All rather unimpressive, so that would mostly be a case of 'oh, ok'.
  10. A German speed skater being caught and still it's not Pechstein Patrick Beckert, Moritz Geisreiter, Joel Dufter or Nico Ihle.
  11. Is it time for the new season yet?
  12. I've seen first-hand how athletes can indeed fall asleep 2 minutes after dinner after a hard weekend of racing, but in this case I highly doubt it
  13. Yeah but she's gonna be a mom in 9 months.
  14. Horned viking helmets
  15. I'd like a long-term bet: I say JTB won't beat the 16 wins in one season.
  16. I feel the same about Herrmann and Eckhoff: they absolutely have the quality to fight for the overall, but brainfart themselves to 50% shootings way too often.
  17. If my country was bombed to pieces (hey Germany ) I'd feel like 'never forget' as well. Wars should not be forgotten, especially since quite often both sides commit quite some atrocities. Didn't Serbia themselves arrest and deliver war criminals like Karadzic and Mladic who are, luckily for the world, safely behind bars for the rest of their lives?
  18. This did not age well
  19. I don't notice a lot of anti-JTB sentiment, just anti-boring races sentiment. We've had that with Fourcade a billion times and now it's the same thing (or worse). Nothing against JTB himself, he seems pretty cool.
  20. Well so no Wierer fighting for the next overall World Cup.
  21. The Serbia thing is the single most explosive topic on Totallympics, by a wide margin, I'd choose words more carefully
  22. Oh that's pretty cool. Still I'm surprised by her way of saying it
  23. Wierer basically saying she's gonna make up for months without her partner in the hotel room tonight https://www.sportschau.de/wintersport/biathlon/video-dorothea-wierer-es-hat-gereicht--100.html They better have some good sound isolation.
  24. Will he get 16 wins?! The big question since the invention of biathlon.
  25. Klaebo I didn't realize this was the finish, German commentator had earlier said the time would probably be like 33-34 minutes so I wasn't expecting it yet
