Just found the rules: 3.2.140 In the case when one or more riders pass the back wheel of the pacer before he leaves the track, the race will be stopped and rerun without the rider(s) at fault, which will be disqualified. I guess the discussion is what they mean by passing the back wheel, but when stopping the race, the riders should have been disqualified.

Indeed 2 finals without chinese participation and the women's singles may end up the same (I don't think the men's singles will) And it's really healthy for the sport. Especially considering that only a few years ago, several members on this site said that the sport should be dropped because it was 5 sure gold medals for China.

Froome's father is English, Renwick in Abu Dhabi because his father worked in the oil industry, Justin Rose's parents are English and he moved to England at the age of 5, Reed's family moved to GB only months after his birth, Wiggins' mother is english and they moved back when he was 2 and Hindes' father served with the british army. Just because you're born in a country doesn't mean you belong there. Farah moved at the age of 8. Froome may be controversial, as he has represented South Africa. -

Pretty good. 9 medals so far with a 10th secured. The 11th medal is nowhere near sure, but I would say that we have 3 good chances, 3 decent chances and 3-4 small chances for medals left.

Seems like the 49er FX will have the most exciting medal race of the Olympics. They aren't done with the last ordinary race, but it would seem like , , and are all within 2 points. That would mean that the first of the 4 in the medal race will win.
