  1. I don't believe that it was actually faked on purpose. My point is: Her throw was shorter than actually measured. There are problems witht the laser measurement, indeed. If the meaures are too short, you run a protest a against it. I think, the laser measurement here was wrong but nobody protested against it as the measurement showed a better result than it actually was. Or the contestants did't noticed it, I don't know.
  2. Of course this is possible, but her throw went to far left of the sector where no/few other marks are in a close range.
  3. ARD documentation broadcasted at the moment accuse French Marathon runner Morhad Amdouni for EPO doping, saying their investigations are the reason why Amdouni suddenly quit the WCh in Doha.
  4. now that we have a little break I had the chance to recheck something I was wondering about yesterday: Here is a screenshot of the 3rd attempt of Katerina Johnson-Thompson in Shot Put, measured as 13.86m. The red mark is where the shot actually came down. Still a good throw for her, but 13.86? I doubt that considering the 12/14m measures on the field in the picture. Are the measures on the field wrong? This ofc cannot be rechecked, but I did not had the impression that they are wrong when watching the other throws.
  5. Agree. By now, Victor should be the favourite for Bronze if he gets himself togehter for a decent 1500m run and I think this would be well deserved. He performs great so far! Also Uibo is still a contender if he can manage to come over the hurdles passably. To be honest, Kaul wasn't the main favourite for Bronze prior to the competition to me (although still a contender). He already had his main event this year with the Under-23 European Championships in July (which resulted in his 8572 PB) and also repsecting the fact that this is his first major event on a World level, it would be a great result for him if he achieves a TOP 5 result with decent points around 8500. Moreover, the measurement desaster in long jump (he first got 6.32m measured for a jump which actually was 7.19m) was definitely challenging for him. However, he needs to get close to his PB's in nearly all events left to achieve a result over 8500 (which includes ~78m in javelin and ~4:16min in 1500m run), so even TOP5 will not be easy. Edit: By the way, German commentators call Lindon Victor CONSTANTLY "Victor Lindon". I fear that I need to eat the F**king TV if this goes on today . So disrespectful, I am sure they never heard of him before or forgot the fact that they did exactly the same thing on previous championships ;-)
  6. Try again, you'll get in one day and see through my bad English.
  7. Would you please both stop genital comparison? thanks.:D
  8. I think they set you and your recent comments equal to Germany. Hopefully they do, tbh.
  9. Absolutely agree on the expectations and Hassan's comment. Better to say nothing? Don't know, maybe the media won't leave you alone until you made your (stupid) comment.
  10. Not sure about Pedersen's hurdles technique. Possible DQ?
  11. To be fair, she has one day left to her only race and for that situations you have a management. What should Klosterhalfen say about Salazar who is not even her coach and not even the media know every detail about the decision? For the record, it is absolutely right that Salazar was finally pulled out the game if the accusations are true.
  12. European Champion Przybylko already out in High Jump at 2.22m. What a pity, but not really a shock after a very mixed season. But nice to see that he is comforted by Tamberi and Amels right afterwards
  13. Assuming RSA will get the team slot and PLE gets the individual qualification: Have the MAR and PLE riders already achieved the minimum requirements and, if not, is there a realistic chance for them?
  14. I do not think that's very funny tbh. The athletes do not have a change to avoid being filmed this way. And moreover, at least Pinto was not aware that there was a block camera and this is just inacceptable. However, in my opionion this is not a question of gender. I myself would feel uncomfortable being filmed this way and not knowing being filmed this way is even worse. Maybe some people/athletes don't care at all, but IAAF may not claim that this as a premise for all athletes.
  15. He surely means Julia Hassler, she is pretty good over long freestyle distances, especially 1500m, but she should not be good enough to seriously compete for a medal. I think even qualification for final would be a surprise (although no sensation)
  16. She is truly one of Germany's greatest sports persons and gets way too less attention.Any running medal on World level is huge! How great for her! It is phenomenal how she improved constantly, always doing great at the top competitions. Never thought that she'd ever come near to the 9:00 but who knows. Also, it is great to see Möller improved her NR, so Krause will have some serious contender on European level.
  17. Halloween came over about two deacdes ago, but it is by far not that big thing as in the US. Of course, all the American TV shows and movies had a huge impact (same is true for bachelor party's) There a some private Halloween party's held but there is basically no one going around playing trick or treat for candy or something. Most of these people doing parties take advantage of the holidays on Oct 31 (Reformation day, Protestant holiday and only holiday in some Northern federal states) and Nov 01 (All Hallow's Eve, Catholic holiday, only holiday in western and southern germany).
  18. Consipiration theory incoming! (It was already explained to you how the lines are set ;))
  19. I think that is has become just a phrase or a make-believe truth here that "the Western media" only scandalizes doping in countries which are not part of the so called "West". In the real world, several reputable newspapers and TV stations in Germany reported in detail about Coleman and his missed tests were the top topic of the first days of the WCh (next to the farce all around this year's WCh). Nobody here believes his shady excuses (noone in any country with any brain cells left should). Same thing happened when Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones or Maurice Greene got caught. And moreover, I am pretty sure that ARD (TV station which inverstigations had a huge impact to uncover the Russian state-sponsered doping) will do the same efforts if there are hints, witnesses, victims regarding a possible doping scandal in the US or any other "Western" country.
  20. There is a strong German athletics fanbase and I am sure a lot of them will travel to Budapest. Most of them are well informed about other nations and their athletes.
  21. Absolutely amazing how Women's Pole Vault evolved over the past couple of years, especially regarding the number of top jumpers. 6 over 4.80m, 12 over 4.70m, all 17 finalists over 4.50m. Two years ago 4.65m were enough to grab Bronze.
  22. They run on lanes 2 - 9, so 8 is not the worst. btw, lanes 8 and 9 ar far better than 2 and 3. And above all, as always the center 4 lanes are given to the three semi final winners plus the runner-up with the best time of the semis, that's Copello. First think than screaming 'conspiracy', dude (and btw, good luck to Lahoulou)
  23. German sources say that the ban against the Russian Athletics Federation remains upheld for the WCh.
