  1. Ondra needs to start at least in 1 speed event to make the combined ranking... and even if he doesn't make any point in that event, he has so many from Lead and Boulder that it won't be a problem for him to qualify to the OQT (but it remains to be seen if he wants to fly to Far East in October, as normally he's used to skip those competitions... just to make an example: Alex Megos is 8th in the Overall World Cup Ranking with the following Speed results: 109th at the 2018 World Champs, then 84th, 81st, 62nd, 83rd in this season's world cup events and 75th a few days ago at this year's Worlds... and he does have only 2 medals (1x silver, 1x bronze) + 2 podium places in all Lead and Boulder events (actually, he also has a win from last year, too...but it's going to be discarded once the next ranking will be published, as it's from late July 2018)...
  2. McColl is also under investigation (apparently he missed out on fixing a clip on way on the wall)...
  3. also Karate, no points nor direct quali... and Wrestling, too...
  4. the problem is that they say that's only on their terrestrial version (TNT), which normally means that on satellite and streaming it won't be available (they will air some alternate programming)... the only way to know if they're going to respect their own preview (sometimes they don't do what they say and leave programs that should be within Moroccan territory only also on sat/streaming), it's to open their site/channel and watch what they're actually broadcasting in that moment...
  5. 2019 World Cup, Stage #7 (Lahti, FIN) Mixed Team Trap Gold: San Marino (Alessandra Perilli & Gian Marco Berti) Silver: Bulgaria (Selin Ali & Marin Kirilov) Bronze: Italy 1 (Silvana Stanco & Giovanni Pellielo)
  6. we already discussed about this question last year... I haven't gone back to 2017 and earlier with my research, but last year no African climber did show up at the senior worlds nor in any world cup stage and only a few South Africans took part into the youth/junior worlds... and also this year no African did show up at the senior worlds nor in any world cup stage so far... so, the odds are all against any African climber getting a legitimate Olympic Quota (with reasonable expectation that the quota wouldn't be rejected it in case they somehow get it)... and to be honest, imho they don't even deserve such privilege, as they don't seem to be very interested in a true development of the sport in their Continent...I'm OK with regional and/or Tripartite Commission quota, but only if behind them there's something going on, there's a growing movement (even if a low level one, but genuine and enthusiastic, at least)... taking quota away from really dedicated athletes only for the pleasure of saying "we are global" even when that's not true, it doesn't make any sense to me...and it's not good for the sport, too...

  12. Bulgaria (Selin Ali & Marin Kirilov) and San Marino (Alessandra Perilli & Gian Marco Berti) will play for Gold in the Mixed Team Trap event! Italy 1 (Silvana Stanco & Giovanni Pellielo) and Turkey (Safiye Sariturk & Murat Ilbilgi) will play for Bronze (even if I don't know why ITA is considered ahead of AUS 1 as they both have a 45 in the last series, while AUS has a 43 and ITA 42 in the 2nd series, which should be the tie-breaker at that point)...
  13. the Olympic Qualification is by name, so I guess she has to be 1 of the top 2 Japanese girls on Tuesday if she wants to play her part also in 12 months time...
  14. thanks, fixed all this points in my previous posts... p.s. I also think that both Japanese spots will be decided only after the final, so we're going to have a double fight for them on Tuesday...the world title itself and the quota places...
  15. I'm not sure they can even organize a continental championship in Africa, as they never show up at any competition (apart from a couple of South African among the juniors, but we all know how strict are RSA with their own qualifying criteria, so I think that there's no chance for them to get an Olympic spot)... that's why I wrote about match criteria (the main one, organizing a Continental Champs and not rejecting the quota when they get it)...
  16. Women's Olympic Combined Climbers qualified to the Final (and getting the Olympic Quota Place, except for Japan, whose 2 Quota Places will be decided in the Final itself) 1st, Shauna Coxsey 2nd, Akiyo Noguchi 3rd, Janja Garnbret 4th, Petra Klinger 5th, Ai Mori 6th, Futaba Ito 7th, Aleksandra Miroslaw 8th, Miho Nonaka Olympic Quota also for: 9th, Brooke Raboutou 10th, Jessica Pilz Possible Olympic Quota late addiction (if Africa won't be able to fill their Continental Quota): 11th, Anouck Jaubert Full Qualifications Results https://www.ifsc-climbing.org/index.php/world-competition/calendar#!comp=8633&cat=42&route=-1
  17. and probably also Anouck Jaubert, as Africa will most likely be unable to match the qualifying criteria at their continental champs next year... but now she's in the bubble and will still have to take part into the OQT in France next Winter...
  18. yes, I saw that already a couple of years ago... but I think there are more Tchoukball players than people knowing about the existence of Fistball in Italy...
  19. wow! 5th place in the world for Italy in a sport that I think here no more than 50 people regularly play and 100 know anything about it... that's impressive!

  22. 2019 World Cup, Stage #7 (Lahti, FIN) Men's Trap Gold: Alexey Alipov Silver: Joao Azevedo Bronze: Mauro De Filippis Olympic Quota: Russia, Portugal
  23. hope this is intentional... I'm disgusted by that farce... and I'm disgusted by those old caryatidis named Albano Pera and Giovanni Pellielo...with those 2 on board, it's always like having 1 less competitor than what we could use... pity for De Filippis, no bronze medal is useless, painful and bitter than his... now we only have 1 single chance left to earn 2 Olympic Quota places (the next European Champs)...other than that, we will only be able to collect only 1 (at the European Qualification tournament next year or by world ranking) or none (I don't even want to think about such epic fail)...
