  1. Looks like no trouble for the favourites so far. GBR vs. NOR as expected a toss-up.
  2. Plus Skaslien & Nedregotten are married, so they have trained together many times more
  3. Ок, who forgot to pay the electrical bill Starting out in style
  4. Didn't read any firm notes about that in the mash of worthless words, that is this Coventry speech.. But we all knew she was a terrible choice already when she was elected, so wouldn't be surprised of the eventual ruining of Olympic core values for greed and power.
  5. I'm sure they will replace her, but i was alluding about their chances to win a medal, as whoever they call up won't be on the level of Passler.
  6. Well.. that's a bummer not only for the athlete, but for Italia's chances in the women's relay.
  7. How about we choose either Rome or Milano I hate this timeline we have entered of multiple host cities / countries. The football World Cup became ludicrous, we don't need the Olympics to join them. At least not more than they already are.
  8. I'm a bit surprised isn't playing in the first session. Given they are hosts, defending champions and it's the first primetime event of the Games, you would think Italia will get the spotlight.
  9. There is usually a pre-Olympics tradition for some athletes to pose for Playboy in an attempt to bring attention to their sport and/or career struggles. Anyone seen something before Milano? I have only come across an article about Lisa Buckwitz's (PG) onlyfans, but that's about it.
  10. Pirovano had the Super-G in the bag but missed the final gate in a true Italian way
  11. One of the greatest nights in modern Champions league history Pure madness. I've seen such drama mostly in the movies. Not the best outcome for my Italians teams, but still better than what Spain got. Real from 3rd to 9th lol.
  12. Absolutely no one is taking this seriously here, or as proof of some wrongdoing, when it comes to Ivet Lalova. She has gotten pretty much universal support and that this is a mistake or a complete BS, that probes from a decade ago, which haven't showed any abnormalities, now all of a sudden are doping. The new methods are questioned and why only a selective number of athletes are the ones being tested and not everyone and also how they athletes don't have the chance to defend themselves about such deviations, because so much time has passed. All in all, it's absurd to test stuff from 10 years ago.
  13. Good to see old man Innerhofer making the team. All his late pushing the past couple of years paid off. On the other spectrum is young protégé Giada D'Antonio, who has combined WC and EC starts equal to the fingers on one of my hands. The power of marketability. Waiting for the Instagram post of Giorgia Collomb.
  14. Sadly it was expected for the greatest Italian biathlete of all time. She has been wanting to retire for 3 years now, nowhere better than at the home Olympics. Doing it in Oslo won't have the same effect.
  15. What a fantastic women's mass start. Great drama till the end and unfortunately for , Vitozzi loses yet another race in the final stretch of the final lap. This looks like a real problem for her right now. Italians better hope she has some slight advantage after the final shooting in Antholz, because the head to head battles have been ugly.
  16. Beside the usual suspects, i am always heavily looking forward to curling. And then it always get overshadowed, because the matches are too long and are opposite medal events almost every single session. 3 hour matches and 9 hours a day is fantastic, for people who only want to watch curling and nothing else. But for people like me, who want to watch as much as possible, it's always a problem to get some curling in my schedule. Shortening the matches to only 8 ends and around 2 hours should be goal for me.
  17. Two weeks before the Games officially begin, time to give my final predictions on the medal standings. will beat and win the medal table at the WOG for the first time in 100 years. All the (absurd) retirements of elite Norge athletes last season will have its consequences and they will drop to second. will my bold pick to return to the top 3 after their horrendous Beijing performance, when it comes to Gold medals. Germany will slip down and will have less than 9 golds for the first time in 50 years. Depending on how the chips fall in some sports, they could even be outside the top 5. Home team of will have their best Olympics in some, better than Torino, but it still won't be enough to get into the top 5.
  18. Фейгин не успя да влезе в топ 20 дори на Европейското преди 2 седмици, та не знам как ще стане това на Олимпиадата. Поне да си изиграе съчетанието без грешка и да е доволна от себе си.
  19. I'll jump on the off-topic with an unpopular opinion - ice hockey isn't so stamina demanding to justify 25 people rosters. And it doesn't have big playing fields like football or rugby for example, where you'd require so many reserves. 15 field players + 3 goalies should be good. Or 18+3 at max. But 25 is too much imo and the constant substitutes are too much as well.
  20. Ah, definitely not saying if it's right or wrong, just saw there was some drama and complaining about the selection. If i was Romei, i'd be complaining too, understandably since she is out of the home Olympics.
  22. The Games haven't began and there is already drama around the hosts. Looks like there is some saga around the selection of Rebecca Mariani to the team, who is the daughter of the technical director from what i saw.
  23. Team Bulgaria final tally is 20 athletes, which give or take a few, has been our norm in every Winter Olympics in the past 30 years. The breakdown is 12 men and 8 women. Alpine Skiing - 3 (2 M + 1 W) - Albert Popov - Kalin Zlatkov - Anina Zurbriggen Biathlon - 8 (4 M + 4 W) - Vladimir Iliev - Blagoy Todev - Anton Sinapov - Konstantin Vasilev - Milena Todorova - Lora Hristova - Valentina Dimitrova - Maria Zdravkova Cross-country - 3 (2 M + 1 W) - Mario Matikanov - Daniel Peshkov - Kalina Nedyalkova Figure skating - 1 (0 M + 1 W) - Alexandra Feigin Ski-jumping - 1 (1 M + 0 W) - Vladimir Zografski Snowboarding - 4 (3 M + 1 W) - Radoslav Yankov - Tervel Zamfirov - Alexander Krashniak - Malena Zamfirova Beside the athletes there will be another 33 people delegation of coaches, physios, officials etc.
  24. Aren't the Games broadcastsed by Eurosport in your countries? Why are you concerned what the National broadcaster is showing Here BNT has also the sub-rights, but I will probably turn once or twice to them the whole Games.
  25. Will HBO Max show all the live coverage on the normal tier like they did for Paris, or you will need the extra sports tier to watch?
