  1. Way more normal mixed event, then what we saw 4 years ago in Beijing
  2. Looks like NBC is a happy camper , for now at least Winter Olympics Start Hot, First Saturday’s cross-platform telecasts turn in the largest audience for the winter games since 2014
  3. The disappointment on Dropkin's face Heartbreaking. The guy was the breakthrough star of the mixed event and a real discovery for the wider curling world.
  4. This even made TMZ and ESPN The more newsworthy story, than the actual event for some medias i reckon. But Laegreid is a moron either way. Either don't cheat or don't tell you've cheated, especially not one week before the biggest event on the planet.
  5. Looks like tonight is Slovenia's revenge night
  6. Deserved win for Taubitz, the undoubtedly the best women's luger in the past 3-4 years.
  7. First Latvian women's medal in luge in history!
  8. Both luge events have been the disappointment of the Games so far. Hope at least there is some drama for the silver & bronze now.
  9. Why isn't Constantini playing with Retornaz, if they don't like each other with Mosaner? I know Retornaz is not usually playing mixed, but this is the home Olympics after all.
  10. Perfect scheduling by the IOC. 3 hours of nothing, while now we have 3 medal events at the same time.
  11. I was at work today, so just now catching up with things, but this was shocking to watch. And it's not even a regular WC slalom with full specialists list. 15th out of 20 or so that finished is baffling.
  12. Klaebo practically flying over the hill in the final was poetry in motion.
  13. Hard to believe Johnson/Shiffrin don't easily win this, but after Ledecka not medaling in the PGS, anything is possible. Still, after Malinin, this looks like the most clear event.
  14. This must really be day, they are only losing 0:1 to the Americans. Still time to take it to penalties
  15. Rather slow night now with only ice hockey, so had the chance to write my traditional NBC joke for the first time these Olympics I got what your implying of course
  16. Also, hosts are still leading the table, if we are looking at it the NBC way.
  17. Mmmm, Maderova had 3 podiums this season and is running 5th in the World Cup. Tomasiak is doing way worse in ski-jumping and had he won, it would have been a bigger surprise.
  18. Up to 18 nations after today. Though 2 heavy winter favourites still need to pick up the slack.
  19. Big drama with surprising results. And as i predicted, no medal for Domen Anytime you have big favourites, who are "certain to win", then they don't win. still alive, after a disastrous last 2 seasons. A great injection for as well, though Tomasiak getting a win would have been the shock of the Olympics so far. Deschwanden getting a medal is also very good for , who are having a tremendous day. But having joint medals always sucks.
  20. Everyone thinks they have done a great jump, but with the near scores it's a surprise where they end.
  21. What a disappointment for this is going to be. They came with the best team but today's unpredictable competition could throw them out of the top 10.
  22. As a person from the other side, who barely watches park and pipe, i have always struggled to understand how they classify as "riding a snowboard" It's basically acrobatics on a board by small children (i know they are mostly grown adults, but they look like small children). If you insert Benjamin Karl next to them, he would look like the Hulk In some events the athletes are more in the air, than on the snow.. That being said, i do find them rather enjoyable during Olympics & World Championships. But as everything it comes to ones preferences. Anglo-Saxons + Japan/Korea/China for some reason love that type of snowboard, while mainland Europe prefers riding a snowboard on an actual mountain.
  23. Zografski thought he was doing Big Air and trying a 180 twist in the air His best ever season and of course he can't make top 30, when a Chinese dude does.
