    Technical question, but why isn't the most inside ring an 11 ? It seems stupid, if you are inside or outside of the ring to be both a 10 and not be an advantage if you hit it maximum to the center.

    Nerve-wracking match for Petrova, but crisis averted. Very good footwork against a dangerous opponent from , who won bronze in Tokyo. Still the performance wasn't as smooth, as one would have hoped for. Petrova has come with big ambitious ever since Rio 2016 and never manage to achieve them with early loses, so i was fearing the same fate.

    The Stoevi sisters officially make the 1/4 after today win over . Could have even won against the pair in the group, but didn't have energy in the last part of the 3rd set. We will see, what the draw will be, but the goals have been achieved.

    @Vic Liu As always, any comments on how things are going, expectations, rections etc. from inside China are welcomed. Anything that can give us more info on how Chinese officials and people are seeing the Games.
