  1. Oh, don't get me wrong. It's not like I want these teams not to win so Brazil can win. I couldn't care less about Brazil winning here, especially because I really hate Neymar and I hope he retires without ever being world champion. It's just that I root for the smaller teams (or any team playing against Argentina, to be honest ).
  2. Terrible day for me. All 4 teams I didn't want to win today did indeed win.
  3. LOL. It almost looks like gave Lewandowski a goal out of pity. Anyway, what a horrible mistake.
  4. What part of "he was hampered by that move" do you not understand?
  5. You can give him an Oscar if you want, but he was touched and he was hampered by that move.
  6. I see a clear penalty here. I have no idea why you guys are claiming for justice, especially in an event where everybody knows about "la mano de Dios" in the past.
  7. What a pity for . This team almost make me laugh, but they got lucky today and Tunisia was not on its best day. What a pity.
  8. I despise Neymar, so I hope he stays out as long as the World Cup lasts for us.
  9. I'm quite late to comment, but what a boring match between Iran and Wales. By the way, Denmark and Wales make me wonder how bad Italy must have been to not even qualify when these nations barely know what they are doing.
  10. What a boring match. I expected a lot more action, but I got zero excitement from the first half.
  11. So, FIFA should keep separate quotas according to the FIFA ranking. The system as it is doesn't make any sense, anyway. Increasing the number of teams will only make the competition look even more like a farce.
  12. Poor guys. FIFA is going to make things worse for this sport by allowing more teams to suffer like this.
  13. After this match, I won't be surprised if Saudi Arabia advances.
  14. Uruguay was a World Cup champion in 1930. It's not like the nation had zero experience in football and no titles to celebrate, unlike North Korea and the United States. But I get your point. For sure, a top 5 surprising defeat, alongside the USA and North Korea ones, and both the Maracanazo and the 7 x 1.
  15. This is nothing compared to our 7 x 1. Just take it easy and hope for the best in the next match. Thankfully this was the right moment to have a bad day and there are still a big chance to qualify and move ahead.
  16. LOL, this is fantastic. I didn't expect to have such a good laugh with the World Cup.
  17. Why does it look like they're trying to sell me jelly or pudding?
  18. I forgot to mention about the craziest thing I've seen at Worlds. But first, let me explain something. As most people know, scores are divided in execution and difficulty. There are separate scores for each. The execution score can never be contested, but the difficulty score can. Inquiries can be sent to the judges' panel only by a gymnast who challenges the difficulty score of his/her routine. This means that it is impossible to challenge the difficulty score of another routine. Jade Carey received a 6.0 D score and 13.833 in total. She believed she deserved a 6.1 D score, so she decided with her coach, who is her dad, to challenge her D score. At that point, she was guaranteed a medal with Jessica Gadirova still to come. Rebeca Andrade received 13.733 (5.9 D) and was in third at that point, with soon to come Jessica Gadirova seriously threatening her chance of getting a medal. Andrade sent an inquiry about her score before and the inquiry was rejected. Carey's inquiry, however, caused her score to change... but it was changed to a LOWER score. So, Carey's difficulty was reduced to 5.9 and her final score was 13.733. Now, this meant that Carey tied Rebeca. Gadirova performs and wins, and then Carey gets a bronze medal along with Rebeca. If Carey had not challenged her own score, she would have earned the bronze medal and Rebeca Andrade would have been fourth. So, basically, Jade Carey unknowingly gifted Rebeca Andrade a medal everybody was not expecting her to win.
  19. Everything was set up from the start for Jessica Gadirova to win gold. No surprises here. Absolutely disgusting. I hope Great Britain never hosts the World Championships again.
  20. Another horrible, horrible final with two random Japanese girls getting medals. The greatest achievement of the medalists was not to fall or have a big balance check. It's been almost 10 years since we had a good World/Olympic final on beam where gymnasts could perform big skills without falling. That being said, congrats to Ellie Black. Not my favorite routine, but she did it very well and deserved a medal.
  21. She had mistakes every single day. During qualifications, she had a terrible second vault and missed VT finals. In team finals she had a fall off the beam. In the all-around she had a big mistake on bars. In the bars final she fell. In the beam final she fell. Her mind game is completely off. She came to the Worlds as a superstar and while she's leaving the competition with the most prestigious medal, gold in the all-around, we expected a lot more from her.
