  4. In 2022 got a silver in British champs for 1500. Was 5th in 2023. 5th in 2022 in 800, 6th in 2023 PB is 16:37.19 and 8:43.93 so she needs a bit of work still
  5. Already up to three medals 1-1-1 as Haslam snags a bronze with 393.10. 6. Haslam fifth with 373.90. Into the final. Crisp, 1:57:50.00 and 17th, Keegan 28th 1:59:00.40. Crisp misses out on direct qualification but gets the European place.
  7. That's correct. Or technically the top 13 not already qualified/violating the 2 per NOC rule, also being the best from a European country not already qualified would be enough
  8. The score for Shortman and Thorpe, very encouraging. 253.6733, 3rd, into the final. Reid's Silver (257.25) is the start of a really good Championships in a diverse array of events. 0702 Diving Men's 1m Springboard Preliminary - Ross Haslam 0730 Open Water Women's 10km Final - Leah Phoebe Crisp, Amber Keegan 1602 Diving Men's 1m Springboard Final - Ross Haslam
  9. 421.65 was the final score for the team, a perfect start and first gold medal. Obviously no but still shows we're a force to be reckoned with. Daley had two good dives and one poor one. Still a bit of a gap to in second.

  11. How about this! Great news https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/swimming/67971901
  12. https://gbgames.sport.blog/2023/12/22/swimming-first-british-relay-team-qualifies-in-fukuoka/ The gold medal in the 4x200m Freestyle Relay.
  13. https://gbgames.sport.blog/2023/12/21/diving-brits-qualify-in-seven-of-eight-events/ The eight spots earned in Diving in Fukuoka.
  14. I am starting to update the blog (after four months of neglecting it), with previous qualification events. Starting with the Canoe Slalom at Kraków https://gbgames.sport.blog/2023/12/21/canoe-slalom-westley-gives-gb-first-berth-in-paris/
  15. The GB performance was really nice all things considered. KJT and Kerr were surprise golds. Hodgkinson may well have been disappointed with silver (Hudson-Smith was a bit too), plus that mixed relay where we won silver because Bol fell over. A really nice bronze for Pattison, Hughes would have been disappointed with only third (a good sign) and three more relay bronzes. Apart from that, in the last relay we came 4th, Hughes also got a 4th place and was right in the hunt, and Morgan Lake was one jump off a medal. Neita is in good form but the women's 200m was really fast, Reekie was also in the medal hunt, Caudery will have been happy with 5th. Muir is capable of better than her 6th, ditto Asher-Smith with her 7th (she's still not back to her best). And Warner-Judd, Snowden and Asher-Smith with the last points in 8th. This is well rounded, the only negative being no field medals (although we did win a title in the combined category). Paris will be much better than Tokyo.
  16. Nicely done Hudson-Smith, although he seems a bit disappointed it's silver.
  17. This day proved again what a great sport Athletics is
  18. Josh Kerr! Two Golds, one silver (relay) and a bronze for Hughes. Wow. Lightning striking twice, and still chances for more medals.
  19. They are fake medals for photos etc
  20. Hey, you're not wrong, but today I'm just gonna enjoy it
  21. Can someone explain the situation with coach Jorge Vilda? I see the controversy and mutiny about things like nutrition etc, but people are talking about him using words like "abuser"
  22. tbf, at least it happened to hassan and bol who will take loads of medals anyway. Imagine if it happened to someone like Wightman who had a once in a lifetime chance
