  1. How many players do we really "import" anyway. A lot of them are just people of foreign background who are born here. It definitely happens but I'm not sure how many people are handpicked from some other country to represent Great Britain/England/Ireland/whatever
  2. Run rate just seems like a lame way to decide it. Both teams beat and and lost to . The game against each other should have decided it, instead went through because they beat better.
  3. It went from feeling unfair for England if they were rained off against to feeling a bit unfair for . Rain ruined their chance of getting a result against
  4. To e fair it would be a hell of a lot more worrying if we didn't find out why
  5. Yes! What a race, especially by Asher-Smith
  6. Hodgkinson doesn't have it her own way but gets the job done
  7. USA are different for relay and everything else too
  8. Good. It should be a competition of how fast you can run, not how well you can hear the gun.
  9. What happened to Gletty there
  10. This website is buggy and glitchy as all hell
  11. Let's all just be nice to each other and disagree in good faith as I'm known to be wrong about 99% of the time so be nice when correcting people Haven't been looking too closely tbh so I'm not singling out any particular incident or blaming anyone. I'm glad this community has picked up a lot though, it's good to see so many people interested as when we started this I thought the userbase was very small on here And welcome to the forum @Rich
  12. This isn't correct, Hiltz was born female, identifies as "non-binary" but still competes in the women's division. There was a footballer called Quinn who was part of the team that won gold at the Olympics who was the same
  13. That's a wrap! Bell manages fourth (4:03.47), and Walcott-Nolan sixth (4:04.60). We finish with two champions (Kerr and Caudery), a Silver for Reekie and a bronze for the relay team. That has whet my athletics appetite.
  14. Correction: the four for the final are Laviai Nielsen, Lina Nielsen, Ama Pipi and Jessie Knight
  15. Yesterday, Caudery won the pole vault with 4.80. King was fifth in his semi in 7.65 and out Muir was fifth with a seasono's best 8:29.76, Nuttall twelth with an 8:48.24. Kerr won gold (and what a gold it was) with 7:42.98 Nielsen was fourth with a personal best 50.89 So we're up to two medals, both gold 1100 Women's 100m Hurdles Heat 6 - Cindy Sember 1150 Women's 4x400m Relay Heat 2 - Lina Nielsen, Ama Pipi, Hannah Kelly and Jessie Knight 1940 Women's 60m Hurdles Semifinals - Cindy Sember 2030 Women's 4x400m Relay Final - Lina Nielsen, Ama Pipi, Hannah Kelly and Jessie Knight 2100 Women's 60m Hurdles Final - Cindy Sember 2120 Women's 800m Final - Jemma Reekie 2130 Men's 1500m Final - Adam Fogg 2145 Women's 1500m Final - Reeve Walcott-Nolan, Georgia Bell Sember equalled her PB with 7.89 to qualify second from her heat, while the relay team won theirs in a national record 3:26.40 to do the same
  16. I wasn't here this evening but here's the roundup for the session: Walcott-Nolan was second in his heat in 4:13.06 and through, while Bell was the same in 4:04.39 Pawlett was fifth in the long jump with 6.11 and 883 points.
