It's the first time that competed in swimming. They'll probably make the Olympic debut in Tokyo.

Looks like the days when China had a very good women's team are very much gone now (have been since 2016 really). So it doesn't look like a really competitive will miss out on Olympic 10-teams tournament. Japan, as host, could also surpass China by that time and thus become the best on the continent anyway.

Such a shame that they never perform like this at the Olympics.
