  2. I stopped watching and went for breakfast as soon as I saw them not starting.
  3. Well, doesn't have to be about doping. For example, would you also cheer for Kilty if some hypotetical crowd was booing him for his behaviour and cheering hard for Mekhissi-Benabbad?
  4. Meaning that most of the people weren't that into the swimming to know all about dopers and non-dopers. Smaller portion of people, some bigger swimming fans, probably started the booing. But anyway, I don't see how that defends her. You would also cheer for Gatlin, or even Kilty, in that case?
  5. I'm pretty sure most of the fans there were just Brazilians who didn't boo Efimova and who didn't really know about their own guy's history.
  6. Really? You were like her biggest hater last year (not without a reason though)!
  7. Hooray Thanks King, now we need someone on 200m.
  8. Commentator here said that Gemma Spofforth is German both today and yesterday. I guess he reads GBR as GER
  9. Luckily Ledecky didn't start to warm down in the competition pool. How bad would that look for gender equality!
  10. 7th place for Hassler with NR. This could very well be the best ever WCh result for Liechtenstein in any summer sport.
  11. South Africa has been refusing water polo quotas since 1964 (well, 1992 in fact, but still).
  12. Basketball and football for example have more competitive teams than available quotas, so I don't see a problem with one quality women's water polo team missing the tournament. Otherwise, what's the point of Olympic qualificatoin.
  13. How cool would it be to have a swim-off after swim-off?
  14. No. they didn't want to remove any of them. And yet IOC is pushing the equality, so there was only one option really... I'd definitely keep 200 and 4x200, one of the best events.
  15. Well, they really didn't want to get rid of Olympic tradition of women's 800/men's 1500...
  16. And yes Sun Yang... Hopefully he'll get tired.
