Earlier this year I watched an Event Rider Masters stage where Mark Kyle was doing an excellent job (41 something dressage, clear jumping), but he ended up falling on XC and breaking his foot. i think they should excel in the show jumping department, especially Ennis with Stellor Rebound (11 of the last 12 times going clear, one of the best in the business).

And here are the last set of definite entries that were published today. There were 4 withdrawals in total: Evans, Siltakorpi, Jankari and Atrokhov. This leaves Finland at just one individual, instead of a 3-members team. Championships start on Thursday.

Jonty & Art will miss the Europeans. Well, I guess it was expected since he spent much of his time in the exhausting crowd funding campaign. Important thing is that they'll stay together.

Definite entries are out. 69 athletes from 21 nations will compete. That's 3 athletes less than what nominated entries suggested as BEL/POL will be sending a team of 3 instead of 4 and Italy withdrew altogether. It's highly dissapointing to see Italy completely missing the event (for the first time ever perhaps). Pia Laus-Schneider was in great shape with Shadow this season, but I guess some injury came up. Same goes for Norma Paoli. Also Luxembourg... They had a complete team at the 2013-2015 World and European championships, but this time they don't compete at all.

Well, that's unfortunate. I never understand such decisions, you will not learn something new at home.

It's interesting, out of 11 last championships, USA won 9 men's 4x400m relay golds. Both time they failed was at this stadium!
