  1. Too bad. He could have won 10 straight Europeans had he stayed around for Beijing 2022.
  2. Both logos are awful to be honest. At least these are only the candidature logos, so hopefully the official ones will be more inspired.
  3. It's not. There is indeed such event as "Nations Cup Final" in jumping, so the quota allocation will be based solely on the results of that event. Of course, the nations will firstly need to qualify themselves for the Final during the various league qualifiers which will start in February/March.
  4. Eventing Nations Cup calendar for 2019: Houghton Hall (May 23-26) Pratoni del Vivaro (June 5-9) Strzegom (June 26-30) Cappoquin (July 24-28) Le Pin-au-Haras (August 7-13) Waregem (September 19-22) Boekelo (October 10-13) Highest placed not already qualified nation in season standings will qualify a team, meaning almost surely someone from Europe. It should have been the highest placed nation of the "Nations Cup Final" (meaning Boekelo stage), but that had to be changed because Boekelo stage is not officially called "Nations Cup Final". All thanks to FEI's carelessness while composing the qualification systems...
  5. You are wrong, there are only 31 notable Mark Williamses... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Williams
  6. What a stage! A LOT of one-handed riding, which is usually an Iberian thing, so I guess not that surprising. It was definitely very different than your usual WC stage. Maria Caetano (likely) achieved the first ever WC podium for ! Also, amazing 7th place for Collins. Wow, what a result for Bermuda, almost 74%. She really went for a high degree of difficulty and it paid off, so very well done. Her music was somehow expectedly a mix of Caribbean tunes.
  7. Western European League, Stage 4 (Madrid, Spain) Beatriz Ferrer-Salat (Delgado) - 81.285% Claudio Castilla Ruiz (Alcaide) - 78.915% Maria Caetano (Coroado) - 77.655% Full results... WEL Standings...
  8. Cathrine Dufour is awesome (even though she technically didn't achieve that much in 2018). Definitely one of the fan favorites.
  9. Second run for Hudson. And of course, Komšić who usually beats her on North American circuit failed miserably...
  10. Western European League, Stage 6 (Madrid, Spain) Daniel Deusser (Tobago Z) - 0/0/46.73 Steve Guerdat (Ulysse des Forets) - 0/0/47.12 Irma Karlsson (Ida van de Bisschop) - 0/0/48.28 Full results... WEL Standings
  11. And here it is... Croatia is the Davis Cup champion for all times.
  12. Čilić is two sets up. Again.
  13. I feel like XC is becoming less and less competitive with each season. Somehow that's possible.
  14. Klaebo is still in a state of shock from yesterday, I guess.
  15. Klaebo will struggle to reach the podium, let alone win. Black Sunday for @heywoodu ? First Fiji, now this.
  16. Eurosport commentator still bitching about how Niskanen won 50 km gold ONLY thanks to ski change. Oh, shut up!
  17. Gotta love the scoreboard sports where audience is left clueless as soon as it disappears.
  18. Fischnaller REALLY improved his start this summer.
  19. I'm not complaining. This season may be tolerable.
