  1. I find it more fan-friendly than artistic gymnastics. Jumps are actually very distinct, and there are not many different elements overall. Without particularly trying, at this point I know the code of points by heart, and I like too keep track of the math of each performance. In the end I just prefer sports where there is a lot of thinking involved (equestrian, curling, skating). I can watch them quite regularly, while stuff like 100m dash I can only follow once a year.
  2. I wonder if Mozambique was invited just to give this event some kind of legitimacy.
  3. Looks like double quota coming up for Angola. Men are already confirmed. http://2020470-420african.420sailing.org/uploaded_files/Document_20816_20200113175805_en.pdf
  4. Ugh, even landing a triple axel is not enough to remove a Russian from the podium, even if that Russian fell down twice. Russians can basically go home without a medal only if they jump out of the arena or something.
  5. Still to watch Ford v Ferrari, Jojo Rabbit, Little Women and 1917. But overall it seems like a good list, aside from overrated Joker and rather derivative Marriage Story...
  6. Then why on earth would they introduce a refugee team right when the subject circled the mainstrem media?
  7. Skating mile? Seriously? You sound like an American imperialist!
  8. Actually a pretty good run for Haiti!
  9. I like how the commentator didn't even try to pronounce Tvrtko Ljutić.
  10. 4 DNFs in a row and 6/12 in total so far in men's giant slalom.
  11. Well, this is exciting. With this victory Pavicic qualified for the Future Challenger finals in March. https://results.equestrian-hub.com/gdf/282/3560
  12. Which FPS games do you play?
  13. Here is a short documentary on Canada's historic medal success in team dressage from 1988. That horse Dynasty was really something else. And I guess it's only fitting that one of the most famous horses of the 80s was called "Dynasty". And just a heads up - you know how IOC operates these days - anything Olympic-related can be removed from Youtube at any moment.
  14. New format isn't really about what kind of specialists win, it's creating a competition that makes at least some kind of sense (thanks to global warming I guess? ). But anyway, names like Aerni and Hadalin won WCh medals even though they don't compete in speed events whatsoever. In fact, the ONLY reason why they won these medals is because they were extremely lucky to find themselves 25th-30th after downhill. That's it. New format still gives advantage to slalom skiers (as ever), but at least now the jokers like them will not get rewarded with perfect slalom conditions for their poor downhill runs.
  15. I've seen plenty of below average curling this week, but Spain seems to be on a whole new level. In two ends they have sent like 5 stones through the house...
  16. Mozalev lost it when he put a turn in his 3A+2T coimbination. 3A+2T = 9.30 3A+2T+SEQ = 6.51
  17. I also heard the American entry from Jubilee, but I guess that was before you joined Totallympics (and were born).
  18. Can you believe that biathlon events have more individual starters in the Youth Olympics than in the Olympics proper? Just wow.
  19. He better watch out for all those fake fans!
  20. What is this?? I was preparing to watch 10k today, and it won't be held at all. What the hell?!
  21. First ever points for ?
  22. (and ?) McGrath slots into 14th with BiB 75.
  23. Zubčić saved our face... That is, if he doesn't get disqualified.
  24. Let's see... Figure skating had 10k viewers on Youtube, while curling and alpine skiing are having about 800 viewers on average. Speed skating would have 200.
