    And I say that because a soccer player (along with rugby player) carried the flag at the opening. If it goes to penalties and Labbe does what she did in the quarters, no doubt. Due to covid restrictions, it only comes down to the competitors who are here in the last few days. Either way, these two are my top two. LVL could be up there with a gold, though (fingers crossed!)

    Both Genest and Mitchell into the 1/8 round tomorrow and looking good!

    Can someone please explain the sprint progression to me. We just had 8 heats of the 1/16 round with 8 winners going to the 1/8 round. But the losing riders go to a repechage to have a chance to compete in the 1/8 round, too? Doesn't that throw the numbers off?

    Z-M does indeed end in 5th in the prelims. Sadly, Wiens finishes just 0.1 out of 18th and won't move on.

    Just looking, Z-M doing great in diving, likely in 5th after the first round. Looks like a disappointing 5th dive, but was killing it in the first 4. Wow, hope he can clean up the 5th one moving forward. He had the 2nd highest dive of the qualification, just barely behind the top Chinese diver! I have to go rewatch this, been doing errands all day.

    Mitchell and Genest qualified 2nd and 5th for the sprint and won their first round. 1/16 coming up.
