    Well, we didn't have Summer in Tokyo. That's really the difference. I feel like there was an exceptional amount of surprises this time compared to last, and an exceptional amount of disappointments compared to last.

    I'm getting paranoid because the official site hasn't posted the relay results and they haven't added the gold to Canada's total yet.

    We're not surprised in Canada. Athletics giveth, athletics taketh away. When the men won the relay, after I calmed down, I realized that for sure meant Mitton wasn't going to medal.

    Well, this would be the shortest mark for gold since 1964. And if that's the field that Mitton lost to it'll make it even worse.

    I've said it before, I'll say it again. Sports Canada needs to invest more in psychologists. Our favourites flame out so often, while those with little expectations on them can perform. It's a constant thing. Not to mention the 4ths.
