    Not surprising, but what happened yesterday in field hockey (and softball) it's nice to see the women's water polo team win their quarterfinal match.

    Feels like forever since a gold medal. As your cheerleaders suggest, there's a couple of favourites in athletics and hopefully Canada can pick some others up along the way.

    Just catching up here, looks like a disappointing morning for Canada.

    I take artistic swimming as seriously as boxing, honestly. The same countries get the same scores every competition. Maybe something has changed recently, but I stopped following it long ago because what was the point? I'm not disputing its athleticism, same as boxing, but the judging was too predictable to care.

    Canada has become the villain of the Games, taking out the home country and small underdogs all over the place. SORRY!

    Naughton (finally) gets the job done and is headed to the semis in squash!

    Oh for sure, I wasn't complaining. Just updating.

    In squash, Baillargeon won the first set easily 11-6, and has been outscored 16-5 since. On the women's side, Bunyan won her first set, was leading 5-0 in the second, and is now down 9-8.
