  1. Unfortunately I won’t be available to conduct the live draw this weekend as I have to work Does anyone want to have a go at creating one? I can help out with some ideas if needed.
  2. I really wanted to vote this evening but unfortunately there is still a little shuffling higher up in my ranking. The 12 points as well as the lower points seem to be fixed now (by fixed I mean stationary and not fixed as in bribed ). 3 songs seem to be moving around so I'll take advantage of another evening of listening
  3. I recall you at the bar much more than just once
  4. Yes, latewoodu's hate of olives is another TISC custom.
  5. Don't forget the 1-by-1 points reveal that only happens when the competition is still alive going into the last set of votes. So far it has happened 4 times I think? (TISC Open 2013, TISC Open 2015, TISC Open 2017, TISC Annual 2020). It's something we crave every time Other regular occurences include @hckosice getting drunk on a beach and then getting Séamus drunk during the Grand Final.
  6. Not sure if I can host it on Halloween. I guess I could create a Halloween themed draw if someone wants to host it.
  7. After soaring virus cases in the past couple of weeks it was announced this evening we are going back into lockdown until December 1st. The main differences between this lockdown and the one in March / April is that schools and childcare services remain open and construction will be permitted to continue.
  8. Don’t worry, take whatever time you need. Like @Vektor suggested, we can all do our own bit in the meantime and listen to the songs and prepare our rankings to send to you at the right time.
  9. IRELAND After much deliberation I am happy to announce the Irish entrant for this year's TISC Open 2020. Falling Slowly was featured in the Irish film Once (2007) and is written and composed by Glen Hansard and co-performed with Czech singer Markéta Irglová. I hope you enjoy Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová - Falling Slowly Lyrics: I don't know you But I want you All the more for that Words fall through me And always fool me And I can't react And games that never amount To more than they're meant Will play themselves out Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice You'll make it now Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can't go back And moods that take me and erase me And I'm painted black Well, you have suffered enough And warred with yourself It's time that you won Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice You've made it now Falling slowly, sing your melody I'll sing along Take it all I played the cards too late Now you're gone
  10. I’m surprised New Zealand isn’t on molten lava in this map
  11. @Pablita @Gianlu33 @Henry_Leon @SteveParker Just a reminder to the Italian national jury of the relative new Rule 3 (d) (iii) which allows them to choose an alternative format for their votes:
  12. That’s a good point. We should probably link to the announcement post since users are writing information about their choice and lyrics there.
  13. That was my bad. The table is only up to date as far as @rybak‘s post yesterday with the list of participants. I will add Ruslan and the other selected songs tomorrow. But have a look through the list to see if there are any other omissions, it’s been a long week
  14. Thanks for your help I am just accessing the forum on my phone tonight so can’t copy it in right now. Should be able to spend a little time this weekend to get things up to speed.
  15. Possibly since TISC Open 2015. There were 3 Polish registered for TISC Annual 2016 but in the end it was only you who voted It's been a long time anyway.
  16. I expect Italy will be here and looking to keep their title of "Jury with most members" which they held since TISC Open 2014
  17. We will have a discussion after this contest to see about possibly extending the release date criteria for the next Annual as a once off due to Covid-19. Perhaps we could allow some songs from the last 6 months of the previous year to be considered to allow some flexibility. But we’ll discuss it after this contest and put it to a vote.
  18. Well it was held in Ireland, I’ll give you that
  19. Lithuania actually won TISC Open 2015, lest you forget
  20. Just to complete your stats: 2013 Open - September 23rd 2014 Open -September 1st
  21. Séamus is packing his bags, it can only mean one thing. Count me in
  22. Rolling back the good times! First Irish winner of the green jersey since Seán Kelly in 1989. Great job Sam Bennett
  23. Perhaps as we speak, a new polder is being reclaimed from the sea to play host to the contest.
