  1. Next good midweek FTA meet is the Trond Mohn games from Bergen tomorrow. https://www.european-athletics.com/home/streaming/onedaymeetings/43
  2. Distance Runner Lachie Stewart, famous for winning the 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games Edinburgh 1970.....and I was there to see it! 20th July 1970, an unforgettable day for everyone there because he was not by a long way the favourite.
  3. All the old German areas......
  4. Matthew Brennan closes out his first overall Tour win in the Tour of Norway, featuring two stage wins & one second place on a tough, tough course. And if the weekend wasn't already good enough, Lauren Dickson takes third overall in Women's Tour of Norway.
  5. No dramas, we are heading for a sprint and here comes the 3km. Kooi takes the sprint & it's done!
  6. Rai sport I believe. Might be able to pick it up with a VPN.
  7. Looked back at the earlier part & there were actually some Mexican flags, just not at the big mountain summits.
  8. Anyhow.....for those that weren't watching, you need to scroll forward to the 45k to go point into today's Giro to watch the stage of the decade.
  9. As you say, if this had been a boxing match in a 40s movie.....
  10. Del Toro seems happy enough, so maybe he genuinely did not have much today. He certainly was not eager to go when Carapaz offered him the road.
  11. Not sure what Simon is looking back for unless someone gives him a telescope.
  12. Have almost forgotten that Chris Harper is going to take a career-defining win on one of the three hardest stages of the whole year.
  13. What is a bit sad is that I have not seen one flag out there. Of course, it is not part ofthe culture as it is for & but all the same.....history is being made.
  14. Ok Del Toro is going to get White & a podium but all the same......
  15. And Gee is going to get back onto Del Toro & Carrapaz, really a shockingly poor show from them.
  16. Fair play, van Aert is putting in a huge turn on the flat here.
  17. Unbelievably Carapaz & Del Toro get into an idiotic sort of downhill track stand. Yates' leads get on for two minutes.
  18. Commentator's curse, there he is!
  19. Carapaz & Del Toro dropped Gee so now a straight three-way battle for all the podium places. Gee was definitely dead wood, Carapaz starting to make an impact. Yates now seems to be building his lead back...... Carapaz works out he's playing a mug's game & is going to be second no matter what, so forces Del Toro to work.
  20. Woahoho Yates into virtual Pink & not much sign of a response yet.
  21. Just watched Stage Two of the Tour of from yesterday - another one of Matthew Brennan's incredible back from nowhere wins.
  22. Simon Ehammer 8.34 in the Götzis LJ which is =WL & the second-best LJ ever in a Decathlon!
  23. Just found out there's an Ingebritsen in Cycling as well as running and CC Skiing - Storm Ingebritsen won a stage in the Tour of Norway on Thursday, maiden win at age 20.
