  1. She kissed it, it’s hers now.
  2. Stuyven gets it, everyone else looking at each other.
  3. Alaphillippe makes the first move. Caleb Ewan is still there.
  4. Samuelsson takes early lead, JTB beating Laegreid. Hofer back in the lead, JTB putting distance into Laegreid. Awful final shoot from JTB 2/5 & slow to boot. Laegreid out first, ski race!
  5. It’s a day to blast away & get out.
  6. I think that’s right. The top 10 people are out there fighting 100% every week, including relays. I don’t think many people go deep into the red after they’ve missed three. Last week of a three week session + last week of the year always produces surprises.
  7. Because any good skier will do well the first day they shoot clear.
  8. All Olympic Federations are under orders from the IOC to devise one mixed-sex event. Works like a dream for luge, triathlon etc. Nightmare for skiing & snowboarding.
  9. Joe Biden’s three nemeses 1) Donald Trump 2) Vladimir Putin 3) Stairs
  10. Heavy snow now, that should lock in the results.
  11. Wow, we are seeing some upsets this week. Gow & Langer both 0 0.
  12. JT Boe off to another flaky start 3/5 Hofer’s good form continues 5/5 Hofer 10/10, has good lead over both Norwegians! Laegreid 10/10, well up on Boe & behind Hofer.
  13. Stina 4/5 not going to be the dream result, but very good.
  14. Stina 5/5 in the prone! Tiril 9/10, going to be close.
  15. And a fast finish to back it up, good for her.
  16. Charvatova’s shooting improves 2/5 Wierer early lead 0 0
  17. Bummer, & I had €50,000 on her to win the slalom on Saturday. Well, at least I get my stake refunded.
  18. Putin challenges Biden to a live TV debate. Like I say, it seems like the US media are the only people in the world who DON’T know what a senile old geezer Biden is. https://nationalfile.com/breaking-putin-calls-bidens-bluff-challenges-him-to-televised-live-debate/
  19. They could train with the chess-boxing team.
  20. Agree: the whole point of the overall globe is to find the best all-rounder, not the person with the most wins or podiums. That’s why each race is scored as it is, so nobody can rack up an impossible lead for that one good month where classic events are bunched together.
  21. Now you are in the realms of science fiction.
  22. Good news is that this year’s Tour of Britain is confirmed in its usual early September timeslot. - we had absolutely no cycling last year with lockdown. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/56429943 The domestic calendar is also scheduled to restart in June, so hopefully some regular events can be scheduled. Lots of international pro riders have come out of that scene, not just Brits.
  23. Not quite. The South African Anthem is actually a mix of two tunes, Nkosi Sikeli iAfrica & Die stem van Afrika, whereas the others are Nkosi Sikeli iAfrica only. Anyway, my top 3 are 1) 2) 3) (ahem, which was also the old Austro-Hungarian anthem, with different words.)
  24. Eurosport currently showing a documentary about Victor Santos & his quest to get to Pyeongchang. You’ll be able to pick it up on the Player, if you have it, and probably repeats scheduled. Series is just called Olympic Games Far From Home. Probably on the Olympic Channel as well.
  25. going to be an incredible last leg for Sean Doherty, 2nd at last handover! Goes 6/5 in Prone. Standing 6/5, got a shot at third! Samuelsson beats Laegreid for the win, third! Is that their NR for a relay? 9th!
