    I feel like I should have learned to stop doubting that Wüst would win these kind of races at some point.

    Completely ridiculous, but hey if the Hungarian government wants to pay for me to have some entertaining swimming to watch I ain't going to complain too much. (Having worlds in 2022 isn't ridiculous, it's the January 2024 edition that is complete nonsense).

    Can't believe they played that game in Rogers Arena in front of a sold out 17k+ crowd, and it was even the thing CTV (the main TV network broadcasting the games) was showing. That must have been a wild experience for that Slovakian team, who I presume wasn't used to getting that kind of attention.

    Huge upset: beat 3-2. They lost all their games at the Worlds last year and got relegated. First ever win for at the Olympics. If beats and beats then Denmark qualifies for the quarterfinals O.o

    Gaétan Boucher does the speed skating commentary for Radio-Canada and IMO it's quite a bit better than the commentary on CBC or the OBS feed (for folks here who speak French).

    I don’t think there is any chance he doesn’t qualify, looking at the scores. The final will be unpredictable. So many strong skiers failed to qualify. The level today was very high.

    Also, tbh, if people want to have a conversation on how the FIS judges park and pipe events I welcome that. It could be improved.

    I feel like Canada has been on the wrong side of questionable judgement calls in slopestyle at the Olympics so I am not going to lose sleep over this.

    This podium feels like a real passing of the guard. The two men who have dominated slopestyle for a decade together with the rising star.

    Being disappointed with the judging cones with the territory when you watch Olympic slopestyle xD I would have to review the runs to see if I think Su deserved to win. The judges here are a little weird. Either way, Su is really amazing and he should have an amazing career ahead of him.
