    Is the lacrosse here the same format that will be played in LA 2028 or a different one?

    it'd be better to come up with different points systems for different sports (if not events), but the effort is too much imo for what I believe would be an overall minor improvement, over about 350 event things should balance out a bit.

    I have been tracking the top 8 in the World Championships for Olympic events and giving them 8,7,6,... points for a points table. So far 99 events counted. Here's the top 40 countries (notes: 1- in artistic swimming I thought the most reasonable way to count it was to sum the scores from the free and technical (and acrobatic for the team) finals and build a new standing; 2- RUS includes all "neutrals", "independent", whatever else of Russian nationality).

    It's not real. The system was quite unreliable for the first day. Another Turkish girl was initially credited with a 1:42 in 200m butterfly, they corrected it days later. I guess they forgot to verify this one.

    A lot of upsets in men's sabre so far...semifinals are Japan-Italy and Hungary-Romania.

    By the way Russia whoever represents neutral athletes managed to get Semianinov admitted to the final in lane zero, there will be a 9-men final.

    Men's epee semifinals: Kano - Yamada Siklosi - Koshman Women's sabre semifinals: ( ) Egorian - Pan Cieslar - Komashchuk

    Semianinov was 9th. Shymanovich is Belarusian but finished 12th. He needed 4 people disqualified to get in, a bit unlikely.

    Interesting, India defeated Canada to advance to the round of 16 in men's team sabre. And in men's epee there's a match between siblings starting now between the Tulen brothers.

    And it's also blocked in Italy for some reason...I get it for the final four but it makes no sense at all for the first rounds, they are not on tv.

    No. English players go down only if they are mauled to death. You could see she was brought off the field in a coffin.
