    Connor Howe competed yesterday in Calgary, with a time of 1.50,61 in the 1,500, 5 seconds slower than at the SLC World Cup. Not sure if this was just a test race or not.

    Bought three tickets today CAN v CZE W Hockey CAN V USA W Hockey and Short track speed skating on Feb 10. I intended on purchasing the OC and Speed skating women's 3000m.

    Oops forgot her name. Anyone ranked in the top 8 WC Standings has qualified.

    Reading over the Speed skating criteria, only Bloeman, Maltais, Blondin and I. Weidemann have qualified for the Olympics. The rest of the quotas will be decided at the Canadian trials in early January in Quebec City.

    The ISU is looking into a combined World Championships for its 4 disciplines. The FIS tried this and it appears the progress there has stalled.

    We lost 6 quotas in the bobsleigh rankings this weekend.

    Happens at every games (the negativity). I remember the British press labeling the Vancouver games as the worst ever (before they even started). Arguably those were the best Winter Games in recent memory.

    Canada's team is very young, 3/4 men of the 2020 World Junior relay silver medal team are named to the team. Unfortunately Graham Ritchie just missed out, he along with Cyr had Canada's best Senior Worlds performance this quad (4th in the men's team sprint in 2023). Hoping someone can surprise.
