  1. https://www.isu.org/inside-isu/isu-communications/communications/27084-2452-owg-2022-final-allocation-quota-places-speed-skating-short-track-speed-skating/file Confirms it. Looks like that was the only change.
  2. Looks like we have our first athlete to test positive: https://www.beijing2022.cn/wog/wap.htm#/20220124001816/20220124001816
  3. If anyone is interested, this is how the FIS released quotas in 2010: https://web.archive.org/web/20110604013119/http://www.fis-ski.com/data/document/olympic-winter-games-2010-vancouver-quota-list-18th-jan-2010.pdf There was no "live updates" iirc.
  4. Top 10 ranked countries in the ranking qualify. Not sure which month.
  5. Germany, Canada and Andorra (probably more) have had issues with the FIS list, so I think its a FIS issue.
  6. Maybe the Nf accepted with the condition of NOC approval,
  7. Team Canada - Ski Cross Kevin Drury (Toronto, Ont.) Courtney Hoffos (Windermere, B.C.) Reece Howden (Cultus Lake, B.C.) Brady Leman (Calgary, Alta.) Brittany Phelan (Mont-Tremblant, Que.) Hannah Schmidt (Ottawa, Ont.) Jared Schmidt (Ottawa, Ont.) Marielle Thompson (Whistler, B.C.) (Last week's World Cup gold medalist Kris Mahler was only named as an alternate)
  8. I can already see Bach saying "urban" and adding this to 2026.
  9. Due to covid I don't think he will be there. My guess would be Kaitlyn Lawes and one of the men's hockey players
  10. Alpine, Biathlon, Cross country, Ski jumping and luge are safe bets for 0. Skeleton has a very outside shot in the women's event. Curling: 3; I expect all 3 to medal. Olympic experience will go a long way yo help the teams. Hockey: 2; both teams should medal Snowboarding: Grandin, big air and slopestyle for men. One woman for men is also not out of the question. 4 Freestyle skiing: Men's moguls, ski cross in both genders, half pipe men, couple of others. Expecting around 5 here Long track: women's team pursuit, men's 500, women's mass start. The men's long distance also intrigue me maybe a medal. 4 medals. Short track: hard to predict. I'll go with 4 medals. Bobsleigh: two man and four man. 2 medals. Figure skating: one bronze in the team event. 1 medal. So around 25. I'd be really happy if one of the first 6 sports listed pull of a medal too.
  11. Vancouver 2010, there was some magic about it. Being Canadian seeing a record performance also helped lol PyeongChanf 2018: I got to live these games and gotta say everyone should experience one if they can.
  12. Yea it's the new IOC ruling that all matches be played on same sheet. Just kidding. Id imagine it's not finished yet.
  13. This is a first for me. announced they will have no flag bearer, but a volunteer carrying the flag. https://www.europapress.es/catalunya/andorra-01111/noticia-andorra-tendra-cuatro-representantes-juegos-olimpicos-pekin-20220119134404.html
  14. Another fun fact: **NONE** of 's Winter Olympians were actually born there.
  15. I guess they are trying to defend their bs reasoning for accepting a quota
  16. Snowboarding Canada says this is an automatic process (the reallocations)... idk what to believe anymore
  17. Women's half pipe 5! In pgs Two women in alpine skiing And if we are counting the freestyle quotas... we have a small team lol
  18. Just confirmed with SC that this is the final team and only 2 were selected based on selection criteria. So they pulled a Netherlands. But this doesn't explain why they accepted an additional women's quota knowing no one would be able to meet it. Bizarre if you ask me.
  19. Lol this what I think happened too
  20. Yea very odd. And this screws JJA out of a 7th Olympics.
