So another disappointing result in the judo today. Doesn't look like we'll be bringing back medal this time around. Worth saying though that 3 of our bouts have been lost in golden score so could easily have gone in our favour if we'd had a bit of luck on our side.

It's a shame that ultimately the briefest of pauses between elements brings Downie's score down but let's be honest, when we lost Gadirova, then Ondine and then saw their performance during qualifying, nobody would have thought GB would even be close to the podium.

DD for Downie only 4.8 compared to 5.4 in qualifying. That could be it over for them unfortunately

OK 1 down, 2 more beam routines to go. It could happen. Still don't think it will but it's at least possible

God loves a trier but the BBC commentators are going all out to hype GB women's medal chase when they still have uneven bars and beam to go. The chances of all three gymnasts getting through their routines without falling are slim to say the least.

Always find it ridiculous that the women's floor routines are performed to music but the routine and the music rarely seem to have any connection to each other.

Clarke safely through to the semi-finals despite a messy second run. He finishes in 4th with 2 second penalty - he's going to need to find something special to catch the Frenchman though

in perhaps the most vulnerable position of the top 3 as their discard score is a DSQ (21 points) so basically every result will count for them so they can't really afford to have a bad race. Both and have a discard score of 18 so if they have a dodgy race in the next 3 they could easily see themselves drop down the table. NZL will be glad that racing is done for the day as they have struggled in the conditions today with an 11th, 18th and 16th. In contrast, GB had a 5th, 11th and 1st in the last 3 races. looking pretty good at the top of the table. They have an 11 point lead over IRL and their discard score is 16 so even if they have to count that, they'd still be in the mix for the medals.

Overall, seem to be holding their own in terms of the overall medal numbers. From the events that have been completed I think we're down 2 golds in the swimming but one of them has been offset in the shooting.

74.938 for Moody and she is currently top of her group with only 1 more to go so she will definitely advance to the individual final. As a team we are sitting in second place about 2.7 points behind Denmark

I've got to agree - when you see what the men are doing and compare it to the women, it's almost like a completely different sport. Basically taking your hands of the handlebars is considered a trick.
