McSharry realistically had no chance at the podium anyways, she did well to achieve a 5th place finish. King, Meilutyte, Jacoby, and Schoenmaker were always going to be 1-2-3-4 (In some order).

Meilutyte never got banned for doping. She was, however, given a two-year ban by FINA for missing three anti-doping tests within a twelve-month period.
