If Italy wins in 5, will qualify with a win in 3/4 over tomorrow. If Italy wins in 3/4, a Cuba loss would book their ticket to Paris. If both Cuba and Italy win in 3/4, it’ll go down to points, set ratio, then points ratio, where Italy has a big advantage. If both Italy and Cuba win in 5, then Italy would most likely qualify, as their set ratio would be the same as Cuba, but their points ratio is bigger. Pool B (Tokyo, Japan) d. 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23) d. 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-15) d. 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17) d. 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-18) and have qualified for Paris. Belgium and Canada would need to lose for to qualify.

If Bulgaria doesn’t beat Belgium, then I can’t be bothered to watch Canada’s match against Mexico. I’m just about the biggest volleyball fan, and watch pretty much everything but I would be pissed.

If only we had Sclater here… he was BIG in our match against Cuba at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualifiers where we battled hard to a five set win. But Sammelvuo f*cked it up.

With a 4 set loss, our hopes will be pretty much over. No way Belgium is dropping a set to Bulgaria. And we have no chance at qualifying through World Rankings if Germany/Belgium book their ticket to Paris here.
